What? Me Bored?

Hello, Dear Ones!! I hope you're all doing well and staying safe. We are around here. We go for rides and are still picking up our groceries curbside. Although Mr. Precious went to Costco during the 'old folks hour' and he said it was great - not too many folks and everything was hunky dunky!

Well, I hear so many say they are getting bored. Not me! I can always find something to keep me busy. So...it was Tilda time again. Southern, of course.
Meet Louann. She is a Southern Belle all the way from the top of her tiny head to the bottom of her tiny boots. She is dressed in a lovely blue paisley dress and collar.
If you look closely you'll see her pretty cameo on her choker. Ah hem...not that there are any neck wrinkles or anything. Just sayin'! ;)
I love to 'do' hair! I never quite know what I'm going to do until I just do it! So I don't really start with a hair plan. I made two doll wigs and they just didn't work! I was so frustrated. I took a break and waited a bit, got a little more inspired and came up with this. Not exactly what I wanted but I had already sewn the wig to her head! I had to fix it. So I tried sewing down curls. I knew I was going to scatter little flowers in her hair.

It turned out pretty cute. I should be more organized with hair. But hey...I'm not!
Here you see Louann's pretty little dark blue boots with flowers at the toes and lace around the tops. She is showing you her bloomers that are trimmed with blue ribbons. Like I said - Southern - with all the underdressings too.

She is showing you her slip that has a lace hem and another blue bow. Everything goes together perfectly.
Louann wanted to try and stand up to show you the lace at the bottom of her dress with another blue bow.
I hope you've liked seeing my Tilda. This one is going to a friend. I am thinking I need to make one for ME to stay here with ME. God willin' and the creek don't rise - there's always tomorrow!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Living Doll

Got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living doll
Got to do my best to please her, just 'cause she's a living doll
Got a roving eye and that is why she satisfies my soul
Got the one and only walking talking, living doll
Take a look at her hair, it's real
And if you don't believe what I say, just feel
I'm gonna lock her up in a trunk
So no big hunk can steal her away from me

Got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living doll
Got to do my best to please her, just 'cause she's a living doll
Got a roving eye and that is why she satisfies my soul
Got the one and only walking talking, living doll
Well, take a look at her hair, it's real
And if you don't believe what I say, just feel
Gonna lock her up in a trunk
So no big hunk can steal her away from me

  10. Louann reminds me of my first piano teacher's mother - a very victorian lady who held to her strong beliefs about how we all should live. Her hair was much the same and she bejeweled her neck with cameos that were probably family heirlooms of great value. Her daughter, my piano teacher, lived with her mother and they both made my weekly lesson times a delight in their home.
