We have had two dear friends pass away last week, not from the corona virus. But how very sad... there could be no funerals for them. No final goodbye with family and friends. No celebration of life. Just a graveside service for a handful of family members. My heart just goes out to all with loss especially at this time. Another elderly friend had a stroke and her husband could not even go with her to the hospital. Dear Ones, please stay at home. We are only protecting ourselves but we could be protecting others.
Okay, that's enough so on to the pretty!!
I'm bringing you into the dining room today to see the Eastery Springness on my buffet. I kept some of the same elements as before and added a few Easter things.
The focal point of this vignette is the flower power!! I took the lid off my tureen, which was already here, and poked and poked and poked in Springy flowers. A little faux egg found it's way into the ladle. Birdy salt and peppers sit by patiently waiting for something. Do any of you old time bloggers remember when we all rushed out to Target and bought this little set of salt and peppers and had a party all posting the adventures of our birdy salt and peppers? That was a really long time ago. Y'all, I've been blogging for 12 years! I can't believe it.
The flower power is so pretty, don't you think?
Had to poke down some little bunny things that I have had for such a long time. The vase is Lenox and matches my dishes 'Butterfly Meadow'.
Just a little bit of Eastery Springness.
Just enough cuteness and flower power to make me smile.
You're all my bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
The Rain, The Park and Other Things
I saw her sitting in the rain
Raindrops falling on her
She didn't seem to care
She sat there and smiled at me
Then I knew
She could make me happy
Flowers in her hair
Flowers everywhere
I love the flower girl
Oh, I don't know just why, she simply caught my eye
I love the flower girl
She seemed so sweet and kind, she crept into my mind
To my mind
I knew I had to say hello
She smiled up at me
And she took my hand
And we walked through the park alone
And I knew
She had made me happy
Flowers in her hair
Flowers everywhere
I love the flower girl
Oh, I don't know just why, she simply caught my eye
I love the flower girl
She seemed so sweet and kind, she crept into my mind
To my mind
Suddenly, the sun broke through
I turned around, she was gone
All I had left
Was one little flower in my hand
But I knew
She had made me happy
Flowers in her hair
Flowers everywhere
I love the flower girl
Was she reality or just a dream to me?
I love the flower girl
Her love showed me the way to find a sunny day
Sunny day
I love the flower girl
Was she reality or just a dream to me?
I love the flower girl
~ sung by The Cowsills

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all of the Easter pretties-you are so talented! Thanks for the song too-it was a favorite of mine as were the Cowsills!
ReplyDeleteHello Sheila dear. I am so happy to visit your blog. It seems I was always so busy before. Loving your sweet decor. The florals are beautiful. I love your sweet bunnies and the little birds. Hugs and blessings. Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteYour display of pretty is a real spirit lifter. I like those birdy salt and pepper shakers and how there is a story to them. I started blogging in 2007 so I've been around a bit here in blogland too. Your flower display is outstanding. You mention Lenox, two years ago I treated myself to some Lenox Butterfly Meadow plates, they make me smile cuz they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful display which made me smile. Love the flowers. So glad you are safe and well it is a worrying time.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on the loss of your friends.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia. Your flower power is just the right touch to brighten a day and to celebrate Easter. There won't be a lot of celebrating this year, unfortunately, but all our flowers will make it easier. It looks so pretty..Stay well, xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteI had a set of those birdies. I think one of mine got broken - I can't remember if I kept the one or not. Now I'll have to go look for it! LOL

Your home is quite lovely. We are home too except the hubby has to work every other week. He is working from home this week but his office is very small during these times, five on, five off and three people upstairs who work in Financial Services. Our friends in Nebraska lost their dad unexpectedly and he was cremated, they could not bury him. Sorry for the losses of your friends. Our youngest daughter is NY state. Her FIL was hospitalized for a surgery and then this hit. He was mad as heck stuck in the hospital while he wife was stuck at home. Grateful he healed and came home and they are well too. Our girl lives in the country near Amish country, so they are healthy and her hubby works as he works for General Mills so food workers are mandatory too. My hubby works for attorneys and the law still goes on. Praying everyone stays healthy and happy. Miss the grand littles. Saw them for a little while but hard to kiss and hug. SIGH You stay safe, glad you are here too. HUGS virtually across the smiles.
ReplyDeleteOh my such beautiful springtime and Easter prettiness. I'm glad that you both are staying safe...we are too. Our wedding date is still uncertain...since May 2nd is coming quickly and we are selecting another possible date. Having a date selected at least gives us something to shoot for. If we have to wait much longer,we may just have our meeting to apply for a marriage license on-line...and a wedding with witnesses [in their car] and officiant [in his car]. ♥
ReplyDeletegreat
ReplyDeleteMy ex-husband and I had always managed to stay friendly after our divorce in February 2017. But I always wanted to get back together with him, All it took was a visit to this spell casters website last December, because my dream was to start a new year with my husband, and live happily with him.. This spell caster requested a specific love spell for me and my husband, and I accepted it. And this powerful spell caster began to work his magic. And 48 hours after this spell caster worked for me, my husband called me back for us to be together again, and he was remorseful for all his wrong deeds. My spell is working because guess what: My “husband” is back and we are making preparations on how to go to court and withdraw our divorce papers ASAP. This is nothing short of a miracle. Thank you Dr Emu for your powerful spells. Words are not enough. here is his Email: emutemple@gmail.com or call/text him on his WhatsApp +2347012841542
ReplyDeleteHe is also able to cast spell like 1: Lottery 2: Conceive 3: Breakup 4: Divorce 5: Cure for all kinds of diseases and viruses.
