Christmasing in the Dining Room

Hello, Dear Ones! Well, come on into my dining room and see my Christmasing!
This dining room is probably one of the smallest I've ever had but it works for all we need.
I have lots of stuff and I poked everything in that I could.
Okay, let's get down to the Christmasing. Just a simple centerpiece - a Christmas red runner with three cloches filled with Christmas balls and all are sitting on Fostoria plates. I poked in some wired ribbon and some greens.
I like it. It's simple but I think it looks festive.

I poked a few greens on top of my china cabinet and changed out my dishes inside.
I think my Old British Castles dishes look nice and Christmasy along with a few pieces of ruby red glassware.
Just a simple little vignette on my buffet.
This is my oldest Nativity that I truly love. Mr. Precious bought me this in Austin, Texas many many moons ago. I have such a joy each year when I take it out of the box.

The curio is a looking a little bit like Dolly Parton - top heavy! I just poked some greens up there and my Rooster is craning his neck to peep out.
Here's another little look at my dining room. I have no drapes, curtains - nothing! I'm thinking since I don't have much wall on either side of the window, well, it's because I've placed furniture in each corner, that maybe a window valance would look better? What do you think? I'm still trying to get my new to me house 'fixed'.
Just two last pictures. We have been having new friends over at least once a month for dinner and we are loving getting to know folks around here. I'm showing you my simple little tablescape for dinner. I had to take the cloches off as they were too tall so I poked down three pieces of Milk Glass and put some sparkly fruit in them.
Lots of Christmasy red and Christmas dishes and more of my ruby red glassware. We had a great time and we all felt the spirit of Christmas.

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my table.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Good tidings we bring to you and your kin
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Now bring us some figgy pudding
Now bring us some figgy pudding
Now bring us some figgy pudding
Now bring some out here

Good tidings we bring to you and your kin
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year

We won't go until we get some
We won't go until we get some
We won't go until we get some, so bring some out here

Good tidings we bring to you and your kin
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
~ sung by Bing Crosby

  2. It sure looks pretty, Sheila!! I love the cloches down the middle of the table--three of them---that looks so nice! I love curio cabinets, china closets, glass door cupboards of ANY KIND...just love to fill them up with pretties, don't you? You can never have too many. About curtains....I'd hang up pretty white lace curtains!!---a pretty old fashioned touch---and they let in light. Can't wait to see what you do!

  4. Your nativity is so beautiful. And being an "old' member of your family makes it all the more special. I also love the elegant simplicity of your table. It's beautiful.

  7. Over time the tendons in the neck shrink and the thin skin does not respond in the same way as the skin of the face does to peels and lasers.
