A Fascinator and a Recipe

Hello, Dear Ones! Hope you're all doing well. A couple of weeks ago the chapter of my ancestry group had a tea and we were to all wear hats and red (red is our color). How fun it was to try and coordinate my outfit and of course since I love you all so much I had to share with you.
 I found a red dress that was just perfect for me. I'm so short I usually have to hem the length and the sleeves but this time I didn't! Yea me! I wore the strand of pearls I bought for my little mother when I was in my twenties (I'll be 68 this month) while we were on a trip to Spain. The large pendant is Belle Boyd whom our chapter is named for. She was known as 'The Rebel Joan of Arc'. That's another story.
The fun part!! I found a fascinator instead of a hat to wear and I really liked it. It was attached to a red fabric colored headband but since my hair is so tiny, I slid the headband out and found a narrow  little amber colored one and slid it in so I could hide it a little in my tiny hair. What fun I had. There were lots of snaps taken at the tea but I didn't take them so if I get some I'll show you later.

Now we were all supposed to bring some goodies to eat and I decided to make some Millionaires - yummy!
These are so good and easy to make so I'll share my recipe with you if you'd like to make some.
I brought my candy on my olden Fostoria server. Isn't it sweet?

Millionaires

Ingredients:
14 oz. pkg caramels
2 cups chopped pecans
1/4 bar parafine
4 Tbs milk
12 oz. pkg semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips (I prefer milk chocolate)

Melt caramels in milk over low heat. Add pecans and drop by teaspoon onto buttered cookie sheet
(you can also use nonstick spray but please don't forget this part or you'll be pulling these puppies from your cookie sheet with your dainty fingers and they will be so so sticky. I know)
Chill

Melt parafine and chocolate in saucepan over low heat. Stick a toothpick into caramel ball and dip in melted chocolate. Return to cookie sheet. I keep them covered in the fridge.

Makes abut 3 1/2 dozen.

Well, dear ones, that's all for today.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

 The Lady In Red

I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight,
I've never seen you shine so bright,
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance,
They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance,
And I have never seen that dress you're wearing,
Or the highlights in your hair that catch your eyes,
I have been blind;

The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek,
There's nobody here, it's just you and me,
It's where I want to be,
But I hardly know this beauty by my side,
I'll never forget the way you look tonight;

I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight,
I've never seen you shine so bright, you were amazing,
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side,
And when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away,
And I have never had such a feeling,
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight;

The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek,
There's nobody here, it's just you and me,
It's where I want to be,
But I hardly know this beauty by my side,
I'll never forget the way you look tonight;

I never will forget the way you look tonight...
The lady in red, the lady in red,
The lady in red, my lady in red,

I love you...
