Just Have To Play!

Hello, Dear Ones! Well, no matter what I just have to take a little time to play. You know how I go on my tangents. I go crazy for a while making one craft thing until I get tired and then go on to something else. So I think I'm on a Tilda tangent like now.

 I did go a little crazy, can you tell?! I discovered how to make little clothespin Tildas and just fell in love with them. I saw a video on Youtube but I didn't save the link. If you'd like to see it I'm sure you could just look up clothespin Tilda doll. I sent the above picture to my daughter and she said the Tildas looked like a gospel choir with their little hands raised in praise! I love that!
 You're probably wondering what in the world am I going to do with 26 tiny Tildas? I'm going to give one to each member of my United Daughters of the Confederacy. Our chapter color is red so that's why I dressed them all the same in the red fabric. I made little blondes, little redheads, little brunettes - black and brown. I left off gray or white hair - :) Just saying.
 Looks like they are line dancing here! Here you can see some of the little hairdos. I made a little yarn wig by wrapping the yarn around two of my fingers a few times, cut the yard end so I had a circle. Put the pinched circle at my sewing machine and sewed down the middle to make a part. I glued the part down to the head and then the fun began! I hand sewed little buns, curls, just whatever happened happened and they all turned out really cute. Or I think they did. Then I glued down a little ribbon rose to her hair. I used fine tipped Sharpies for her eyes and mouth. Being that some of the clothespins were a little rough - some eyes and little lips ran a bit. So hopefully they don't look too bad! They also got blushed cheeks.
 More hair and more dancing! Look how they are all in step!
It is obvious that this little Tilda doesn't use night cream. Look at her complexion!
Oops! Lipstick runs! Well, these little Tildas are cute but they ain't perfect! I'm hoping the ladies will like them and I hope you do too.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

The Lady in Red

 I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight,
I've never seen you shine so bright,
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance,
They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance,
And I have never seen that dress you're wearing,
Or the highlights in your hair that catch your eyes,
I have been blind;

The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek,
There's nobody here, it's just you and me,
It's where I want to be,
But I hardly know this beauty by my side,
I'll never forget the way you look tonight;

I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight,
I've never seen you shine so bright, you were amazing,
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side,
And when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away,
And I have never had such a feeling,
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight;

The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek,
There's nobody here, it's just you and me,
It's where I want to be,
But I hardly know this beauty by my side,
I'll never forget the way you look tonight;

I never will forget the way you look tonight...
The lady in red, the lady in red,
The lady in red, my lady in red,

I love you...
