A Little Spiffing in the Dining Room

Hello Dear Ones! I know I brought you into the dining room last week but I've been spiffin'!
I set up a pretty vignette on the newly painted buffet with my Blue Willow dinnerware. Do you like it?
My Blue Willow has come to Jesus! :)  This is a little closeup of Jesus and the young boy who shared his lunch. I love this painting and the sweet look on Jesus' face.
I made the floral and poked it in my olden Blue Willow bowl. Sitting next to the floral is a little butter dish. I think it's old too. I've had if for ages.

Brought out my tea pot with the sugar and creamer and poked them down on a round platter. I added a cup, saucer and spoon all ready for some tea.
Right smack in the center I placed my biggggggggggggg platter and put a little plate in front of it. Notice the difference in the colors. I've had my Blue Willow since the late 1980s. That little dish is very olden that I got from an antique shop years ago but the color is so different. I think you can see those tiny little round plates? They can be used as tiny butter pats or a little place to poke your tea bag.
I'm really liking this look. It just looked too bland before. I love color and I think this will do.
I poked my most favorite Rooster on top of the curio cabinet. He loves it up there watching over the dining room.

I placed these candlesticks on my dining room table. I bought some new blue candles and poked them right down! I also bought three more blue and white balls. Maybe I should call them 'orbs'. :)
Don't they look cute in my old punch bowl? When you don't have punch in your bowl, punch down some blue and white balls!

Well there you have it! It's been so hot outside I just stayed in and spiffed! Hope you are all staying cool.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Blue Moon

Blue moon you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold!
Blue moon!
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
