Come on and I'll show you...
Little jugs or should I say little pitchers. I found the pattern on Pinterest, of course, and just couldn't stop making them!
As you can see, Lola is so very pleased with all of the little pitchers and is deciding what to do with all of them. She got a new hairdo and is feeling pretty self confident and I see she's already put a couple on top of the little hutch and on the baby's high chair.
I found out a little genealogy on Lola. I was thinking I needed to make her some shoes and just happened to look at her little bottom and there was a name embossed on it 'Chelsea'. So on line I went and found out Lola (Chelsea) is actually Barbie's little sister. Lola was so excited to know she has such a famous sister and said she will have Barbie come visit after she gets her house ready.
There's more jugs, em, pitchers. I made some from scrapbook paper and others from printed cardstock. The paper is just too flimsy and probably won't hold up but I persisted any way. The cardstock jugs seem pretty fine. I painted the inside of the spout and then painted a gloss finish on each one. Aren't they the cutest little things?
The kitchen window got installed (just glued on the wall) and I made a little valance for it.
Then...I made some new canisters to match the kitchen. I used the little wooden spools again, painted the bottom lip and top lip, covered them with the same paper as the kitchen walls and added little labels and a pretty little bead on top! Cuteness again!
I couldn't stop there so I made a bread box too! I made it out of mat board. The lid doesn't lift up but we're not tellin' any one! ;)
Here they all sit on the corner cabinet. I see Lola added another jug!
The kitchen got some lights! I snapped these pictures at night so they are not as nice as they should be but I wanted to show you my ceiling lights. These are little touch lights from the dollar store. I just added batteries and stuck em up on the ceiling. Voila! I have to admit I just love the size of this kitchen! I have to watch out for Lola as she wants to display everything she has all at once.
Next I crocheted a rug for the living room! I bought a new coffee and end table before I was on my death bed...well, my sick chair.
Got all smarty pants and painted a little vase for flowers. It's one of those wooden pulls for fans. I know, I got carried away painting with my toothpick! :)
Then I made another rug! I was on a roll y'all! I was sick but I was on a roll.
Pictures were hung in the dining room. They're just printed out on cardstock and glued onto foam board and the frames are bent a little. I did dry brush a little gold paint onto the frames.
I love the little flowers flanking the china cabinet. I hang the pictures up with that tacky glue stuff so I can take them down if I want to change them. I'm so talented like that you know! :)
Lord, have mercy, y'all I'm a little bit crazy! I thought I would crochet a little doily using an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini, um, no crochet hook and sewing thread. Yes, that's what I said - sewing thread. I've seen some on Pinterest and they were just so cute. I'm just stubborn enough to say, 'Hey, I can do that!' Well, I did it, but not very well I'll add and I probably won't make another doily out of thread. Heck, y'all, it was hard! You can see where I messed up but I went ahead and starched the heck out of it with hair spray
I made one more little doily and poked it on the piano. Well, you'd think I'd be worn out wouldn't you? I guess sickness becomes me! :) We're getting well now but kinda weak but as long as I can move my hands I'm good. Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Sending you a hug and hoping you are on the mend. Sickness certainly becomes you, I have had to scroll up and down a couple of times to take it all in. What a delight to see all the new additions. Those jugs/pitchers were a delight and I love the new rugs. Inspirational.
ReplyDeleteDear Shelia
ReplyDeleteWow you are really on a roll and being sick has not stopped your creativity one bit. Love the dolly made from thread. I can't imagine crocheting with that thin thread!! You are good 🌸 Feel better soon!! xo
I meant doily. So cute!!
DeleteI just love all the fun things you made for the doll house. You are so talented my sweet friend. Now I hope you and Mr Sweet are on the mend. I had that awful cold/flu and it took weeks to feel better and have energy! Hang in there and keep creating! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I don't know where to start. First, hope you are much better!! I absolutely love your miniatures! I am so amazed with all the things you have made. I love the pitchers, and the rugs and doilies. WOW!! Such beautiful work!! Just amazing!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I'm so, so sorry you've been sick. Sounds ugly. (I can relate -- I was there last week!) Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteAnd your "wares" are outstanding. You probably don't want to go into business but I really think that if you decided to, you could easily sell your miniatures online or at art fairs. I can see how the booth would be designed! And I think loads of people who either can't or don't want to do that for themselves would be over the moon at your cute designs. Pricing is always a pain because that has to take a lot of time. But if you decide to have a market, I think you have one.
Those little pitchers are the cutest. I also love your rugs and runners. You have such a talent for mini's. I hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLawsee, child! I'm glad you're feeling better but honestly you are a creative genius - I cannot believe you could make those pitchers, the rugs, the pictures, the bread box - everything is so stinking cute!!! And to think, Lola has a connection to the world famous Barbie! You can't go wrong there!
ReplyDeleteMary
All of it cuter than the thing before! The little Staffordshire dogs are charming and I would have never guessed the pitchers were made from paper/cardstock! Hope you are on the mend and feeling well soon!
ReplyDeleteNo good deed goes unpunished -- so much for jury duty! You are like me in this regard. I like to keep busy! Hope you are both on the mend.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing.
Hope you are both feeling better soon. Hugs (germ free one though, ok?) xxoo
Such beautiful miniatures, Shelia! You are so talented. I could spend hours looking at you pictures. So pretty! Hope you both get to feel better soon. Take care, Maria
