Hello, Dear Ones! Sometimes you just need to do a little decorating but it's gotta be simple. I love simple, don't you?
My cooktop is on the island in my kitchen and I do like to have something pretty poked down to look at and make me happy when I'm cooking up some dinner. So I went down into my basement (I'm loving all of the storage down there!) and grabbed this oversized cup! I used to have a fruit topiary in it that I made over 20 years ago and had it sitting on the top of my fridge. No more topiary so I poked in some little greens. And there you have it - my little cup was filled up and it was easy peasy!
These snaps are fuzzy, but you can see my blue cup when it held the fruit topiary - the above when my kitchen was painted red and the below when I repainted it yellow. This was from my Galveston kitchen.
I wanted to leave you with this little snap - another fiddled snap job done with Dreamscope! I love it, don't you?
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Fill My Cup, Lord
Like the woman at the well I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy;
And then I heard my Savior speaking:
"Draw from my well that never shall run dry".
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!
There are millions in this world who are craving
The pleasures earthly things afford;
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!
So, my neighbor, if the things this world gave you
Leave hungers that won't pass away,
My blessed Lord will come and save you,
If you kneel to Him and humbly pray:
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole
For things that could not satisfy;
And then I heard my Savior speaking:
"Draw from my well that never shall run dry".
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole!
There are millions in this world who are craving
The pleasures earthly things afford;
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.
Fill my cup Lord, I lift it up, Lord!
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul;
Bread of heaven, Feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole
~ sung by many Christians
Very pretty Shelia and I love the ivy in that pot! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteI love it. Also, I love seeing what was on top of the fridge. That is the place in my house that I'm not sure how to decorate and sometimes it gets filled with junk because I am so short and my husband is so tall and he likes to put junk up there. I love the song, Fill My Cup Lord. :-)
