The Sink

Hello, Dear Ones. Well today I wanted to show you my little sink for my 'make do' dollhouse. Now don't you laugh. I heard you!!
I know, she's a little funky! Maybe a lot funky but hey, I'm making these pieces all with my own tiny dainty fingers. Anyway, as you can see, she's not quite finished yet as I don't have any hot and cold handles yet. I've seen on Pinterest that you can use pierced earrings backs. Okay dokey!
But back to sink making. I found another little box with a lid at the A. C. Moore craft store. As you can see, I'm going with pink appliances in the mini kitchen. I glued on little wood pieces that I painted white and then added beads for the knobs.
See the basin? Well do you know what it is? It's a tiny little plastic container that butter comes in at a restaurant! Ha ha! I saw that little tip on Pinterest too. The faucet is just a bent wire and stuck in the back of some foam board.
This is the back of the little box that I sat up on it's side. I had to add an apron of foam board so the sink could sit down in another piece of foam board with a little square cut out for the 'sink' to sit in. I'm not into sawing wood yet. I know the top is a little warped. That's okay with me.
This is what the little box and it's lid looks like. I went ahead and painted the top pink but now I don't know what to do with it. One day I know I'll think of something. Hope you're enjoying coming along with me on my mini journey.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Cool Water

All day I've faced the barren waste
Without the taste of water, cool water
Old Dan and I with throats burned dry
And souls that cry for water, cool, clear water

Keep a-movin', Dan, don't you listen to him, Dan
He's a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sand with water
Dan can you see that big green tree
Where the water's runnin' free
And it's waiting there for you and me

The nights are cool and I'm a fool
Each star's a pool of water, cool water
But with the dawn I'll wake and yawn
And carry on to water, cool, clear, water

The shadows sway and seem to say
Tonight we pray for water, cool, water
And way up there He'll hear our prayer
And show us where there's water, cool, clear, water

Dan's feet are sore he's yearning for
Just one thing more than water, cool, water
Like me I guess he'd like to rest
Where there's no quest for water, cool, clear, water

  12. Shelia, I just found you tonight and I'm having so much fun looking at your furniture. Years ago I built a huge dollhouse and made the furniture out of kits (which are super expensive). Yours are so cute and original. Why didn't I use my brain and make my furniture like you did! Clever girl!

I'm so pleased you would come to see me and so please leave me a comment and I'll do my very best to respond back to you. Be a sweetie...Shelia :)
