We've had the grandbabies for a week while their mommy and daddy have had a nice trip to Portugal! Lots of giggles and laughter with a few boo boos and a few spats! ;)
Their mommy is very particular on the amount of junk food and sugar she allows them to have. Well, being grandma, I had to make sure they had their first Pop Tart!
Learning about how to toss coins in the fountain and make wishes for the first time!
Always time for a doughnut at DDs and special smiles! :)
Lots and lots of crafting! You should see my sewing room! Lord, have mercy! Will I ever get it cleaned up? Memories were made though!
A great ride on a beautiful carousel - very olden and the horses were wooden.Fun times!
Lots of playing!
Nothing like DDs paper bag hats!
Did I mention smiles and giggles?
Special hair for a special 'Carter and Shesho' Day!
Very first time to play miniature golf and Carter was very good!
Almost every day ended in ICE CREAM! I do wish you all a safe and blessed fourth of July. Needless to say, Mr. Precious and I will probably be taking a very long nap! :)
I'm joining Life and Linda for Dishing It and Digging It
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
The Way We Were
Memories light the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories of the way we were
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another for the way we were
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another for the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line
And if we had the chance to do it all again
Just tell me, tell me, would we, would we?
Could we, could we?
Or has time rewritten every line
And if we had the chance to do it all again
Just tell me, tell me, would we, would we?
Could we, could we?
Memories may be beautiful and yet
So many memories too painful to remember
The way we were
So many memories too painful to remember
The way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then
Or has time rewritten every line (or has time rewritten)
And if we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me would we, would we?
Ah could we, could we?
Or has time rewritten every line (or has time rewritten)
And if we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me would we, would we?
Ah could we, could we?

ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Aww you and your husband are the perfect grandparents and the grands are beautiful. Enjoy the weekend and have a happy 4th of July!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is why you moved, to have precious memories with your Grandchildren. My brother had an opportunity to move back to California for work and be close to his Grandchildren:). Love listening to him talk about them, a boy and girl too. Keeps you young or feel your age;). Just looked at pictures of them eating ice cream too:).
ReplyDeleteHave a sparkling 4th of July Sheila with your family!

Thank you, Kathleen! Happy fourth of July to you and yours!
DeleteHappy Fourth of July, Sheila! You two are wonderful grandparents to take on the responsibility of those precious babies for a whole week. I know their parents appreciated it. And it looks as if the kids had the time of their life. Enjoy your nap. LOL.
ReplyDeleteLOL.Oh boy - you actually had the nerve to document (with pics) all the junk they ate? Hope your daughter in law doesn't read your blog, eh? LOL. Just kidding. It is a given with grandmas for sure!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for mine - whoo hoo! Thanks for your sweet comments on my joyous news! ♥
What fun you wonderful grandparents are having with those two gorgeous little ones!
ReplyDeleteWatch your kids don't see the pics of all the junk food we give our grandkids. My DD used to get a little upset, but I made a sad face and that did it!
Dear friend enjoy your patriotic weekend and I can see you are already.
FABBY
Sounds like you had a very special week and made lots of memories. Love all the photo's of the kids, to cute.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the 4th.
Hugs,
Mary
Well sure --- every kid needs to have a pop tart, and a donut, and ice cream!! They can eat the healthy stuff at home. Rest up now, so you can have many more wonderful weeks of memories. We had our 14-year-old grandson around for several days last week. The only thing that suffered was my grocery budget. Sally
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth of July. Your grands will be back for more sweets and lots of fun with. They will always remember this week.

Happy Fourth!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun for your grands! And I know how tired you were before the week was over. I've never been brave enough to have all eight of our grands over at the same time without their parents. The older ones are growing up and getting ready to go out on their own so it's nice to have them over. The younger kids are such fun and there's always something to keep us busy. Loved your photos. You (and I) are blessed!
