So come into the kitchen breakfast room and see what I've done. I was really getting tired of seeing Christmas dishes in my hutch so Mr. Precious took them down to the basement for me. He's a good guy! It's been rainy and gloomy looking outside so my above snap is not too bright.
I pulled out my little Jadeite collection and poked it all into the hutch. I just love Jadeite but I am not finding any up here! Wah! Oh, well. Anyway Jadeite does light up my most gorgeous baby blues.
See the tall salt and peppers on the top shelf? Well, I found those when we lived in Texas and thought they were so cute. On one of our little travels up here, I think Vermont, I found those two pitchers that match the salt and peppers! Just makes me happy! I love to be happy, don't you? Well, that's all for now!

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Green, Green
Green, green,
It's green they say,
On the far side of the hill.
Green, green,
I'm going away to where
The grass is greener still.
A-well, I told my mama
On the day I was born,
Don't you cry
When you see I'm gone.
You know there ain't no woman
Gonna settle me down.
I just gotta be traveling on,
A-singing...
Nah, there ain't nobody
In this whole wide world
Gonna tell me how to spend my time.
I'm just a good loving rambling man,
Say, buddy, can you spare me a dime?
Hear me crying, it's a...
Yeah, I don't care
When the sun goes down,
Where I lay my weary head.
Green, green valley or rocky road,
It's there I'm gonna make my bed.
Easy, now...
Everybody, I wanna hear it now...
It's green they say,
On the far side of the hill.
Green, green,
I'm going away to where
The grass is greener still.
A-well, I told my mama
On the day I was born,
Don't you cry
When you see I'm gone.
You know there ain't no woman
Gonna settle me down.
I just gotta be traveling on,
A-singing...
Nah, there ain't nobody
In this whole wide world
Gonna tell me how to spend my time.
I'm just a good loving rambling man,
Say, buddy, can you spare me a dime?
Hear me crying, it's a...
Yeah, I don't care
When the sun goes down,
Where I lay my weary head.
Green, green valley or rocky road,
It's there I'm gonna make my bed.
Easy, now...
Everybody, I wanna hear it now...

ReplyDeleteOhhh, I am drooling over your pretty Jadeite. I keep wishing for some to come my way. I do have a few pieces - but a hutch full, well - that would be dreamy. I love EVERYTHING about your dining area. The pretty table and chairs, and the WINDOW - OH my goodness. No wonder you want to play in there! I would too!
ReplyDeleteYour hutch is so pretty, Shelia...the Jadeite is perfect for spring. I wish I had grabbed some up when I first started shopping for vintage pieces. I also love milk glass. Now I simply have no room and storage is a problem, too. Your S&P's are precious. This is great room! :)

ReplyDeleteThis looks so fresh and springy! I never even knew what jadeite was until Martha Stewart made it popular. Then I think there was a rush to buy it for a while. So if you can't find it in NY it's her fault! LOL
