I have a collection of milk glass that I keep adding on to and had this brilliant idea to use it on the dining room table. Well, it seemed brilliant to me! ;) Don't laugh!! I can hear you. ;)
But since this was to be my Fallen table, I had to poke some pun'kins into the pieces.
Then I laced a Fallen leaves garland in, out and around of my milk glass pieces.
I was really beginning to love this look.
Pretty milk glass, leaves and pun'kins! That says FALL, y'all!
Some of you might consider my table a little gaudy looking! I don't care, I'm kinda gaudy myself! You may ask, what am I going to do when Thanksgiving comes around? No worries, we won't be eating at my table! Woo hooness! :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Stuck In The Middle With You
Well, I don't know why I came here tonight
got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I'm wondering how I'll get down those stairs
Clowns to left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, and I'm all over the place
Clowns to left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Well, you started off with nothing,
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawling,
Slap you on the back and say,
Please, please
Trying to make some sense of it all,
But I can see it makes no sense at all
Is it cool to go to sleep on the floor?
'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore
Clowns to left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
And you started off with nothing,
And you're proud that you're a self-made man
And your friends they all come crawling,
Slap you on the back and say,
Please, please.
Yeah, I don't know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I'm wondering how I'll get down those stairs
Clowns to left of me, jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
Stuck in the middle with you
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you

I love your gaudy table! Gaudy is glamorous and good! Yes, you were the first one at Brenda's but I let you win, I didn't want to hurt your tiny feelings. I have to go primp in the mirror now.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great idea! It looks quite pretty...I don't have a lot of milk glass but I do have a shallow bowl like yours...with the scalloped edge. You have a beautiful collection and how fun to see it displayed this way!
ReplyDeleteShelia, I love milk glass and most of mine belonged to my Mama and my Aunts. The pumpkins in them looks like fall to me! ♥

ReplyDeleteI don't think you are gaudy at all. I think you are as cute as a button. My mother loved milk glass, too. Oh, How I wish I had some of her pieces now. She had a huge milk glass hobnail pitcher that she used everyday of life.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks fun and perfect, Shelia. xo Diana

ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteI adore your milk glass collection on your Dining Room table, dear friend!!!
My MoMa's cousin had an intense collection of milk glass!!!
When she passed away last year, my Sister bought several pieces at her Estate $ale.
I'm thrilled for her and am anxious to see where she displays the collection in her new 100 year old home!!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful collection with us!!!
Fondly,
Pat
