Hello, Dear Ones! I thought I would show you my olden server all decked out for Fall! Like I've said before, I'm going easy peasy this year but I'm still having loads of fun.
I placed one of my tallest tureens on a little glass stand for my centerpiece.
Next came this cute little yard bird couple! Their colors just scream FALL!
I had shown you the milk glass I used on my dining table and I thought I would continue with this cute little milk glass dish and it would finish off this side, with pun'kins of course.
You can see what bad shape the top of this server is in. After last winter, the finish just decided to peel off! It was so cold and the air in our house was so dry that the wood didn't like it! We've got a guy coming to install a humidifier to our furnace/heater so we'll get some moisture in the air this winter.
There you have it...my easy peasy Fallen decorating! :) You really don't know what an inspiration you all are to me. I used to buy a ton of decorating magazines before I started blogging. Don't need to any more because I have you! :)

The server is so pretty decked out for Fall! I absolutely adore that tureen! I started to buy a magazine last week at the grocery store. At $5, I put that booger right back! I hardly ever buy any either since blogging! Such great inspiration among friends! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sheila, I do get inspired by reading my favorite blogs, like yours! I'm glad you're getting a humidifier, my skin gets so dry during this time. I love your Falling! Kathleen in Az

Hi Shelia, I love it all. I have a tureen just like that....I think it is resting in the attic and I will have to get Ron to dig it out after seeing yours. I will tell him it was YOUR idea. Yikes.;-)
ReplyDeleteOf course, you already know I love the roosters! All so pretty.....!
Hugs,
Barb
It's all so clean! Don't they have dust where you are? ;-D
ReplyDeleteShelia, You hit the nail right on the head for me...it's the inspiration we get from each other that makes blogging so much fun. I loved your wonderful vignette. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteJust Beautiful! Love the roosters!
ReplyDeleteI love the roosters too, Shelia! It looks festive and Fall ready! xo
ReplyDeleteI love your all of your decor...and not just the fall stuff. Maybe we are really twins separated at birth :) Happy Fall, Sheila!
ReplyDeleteVery Fallish and pretty too!! I agree with you, I haven't bought a magazine in years now!! Every now and then I spend a day at B&N with tea and a sweet treat and page through all the new mags. The ease of the computer has really taken over my world!!
ReplyDeleteAbout the dryness, sorry for what happened to your buffet. That's unusual. When we lived in the big house when I was married........we had to have a humidifier. However, now in my much smaller home, don't need one. Here's a hint........I use a spray bottle of water and every now and then will spray the carpets around the edges a bit and near the heat vents and it works!!
Love your new home!!! xoxoxo
Your dining room looks terrific. That is too bad about the top of your buffet though. I hope you won't have too hard of a time refinishing it. We have a humidifier in our home, too. You really need it with the furnace on blowing hot air around. Hope you have a great day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love how pretty your dining room looks decorated for fall and even Thanksgiving. I love easy peasy decorating for fall!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
