Some of you may remember my sweet little crocheted tea cozy I made a while back and now it was time to put it to use.
So let's 'take our tea'.
First, let me remove the cozy and you'll see my Blue Willow teapot where our tea is awaiting us.
I have to admit, of all the wonderful teas out there Earl Grey is my favorite. Then I discovered Lady Grey! Oh, it's divine so you must try it. I know you'll like it.
Here's your cuppie.
Sugar, cream?
Here's your tea bag holder so you won't drip all over my table cloth. I know you wouldn't do that though. ;0
Thank you for joining me for a little spot of tea and I wanted to take this time to thank you all who so faithfully visit me and leave your comments. I thank all of you who follow me ~ those of you who've followed me for a long time and those of you who are new followers. I have made so many friends in Blogland and you have inspired me, taught me how to do things, shared your recipes, your family, your joys, your heartaches, sent me gifts and even made me covet! :) I've prayed and asked for forgiveness on that one! :)
I just wanted to say thank you for being who you are and I love you, each and every one of you. Thank you for taking your precious time to visit me all through these years. If you look on my sidebar you'll see I've been blogging since 2008! I'm not one of those big time bloggers who will never comment back to you. I'm not trying to get into the movies or magazines by knocking myself out doing projects till my face turns red. I'm just me, being silly, and living my life and loving you!
You're always my sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Evergreen
Love soft as an easy chair
Love fresh as the morning air
One love that is shared by two
I have found with you
Like a rose under the April snow
I was always certain love would grow
Love ageless and evergreen
Seldom seen by two
You and I will make each night a first
Every day a beginning
Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed
They warm and excite us, cause we have the brightest love
Two lives that shine as one
Morning glory and midnight sun
Time we've learned to sail above
Time won't change the meaning of one love
Ageless and ever evergreen
~ sung by Barbara Streisand

You are lovely and that is the best thing!! That is why we stop by! You are real and honest and just you and that is what I like!! Thank YOU for being you!! xx
ReplyDeleteLove your cozy! Thank you for inviting me to too Shelia! I remember way back when you had a hurricane and you couldn't post for a VERY LONG TIME and we all were so worried about you. I was so relieved when you finally posted!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, I love your beautiful blog. I prefer the simple down to earth type blogs. You inspire, and share and you are always so cheerful and happy. It makes me want to be the same. You and I have a lot of the same interests. Crocheting, sewing, home decorating, and most of all Family and Faith. Thank you for sharing your home, and your talents with me. Hugs to you my friend, Karie
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteYou are, indeed, a bright spot in the land of Blog. I count myself blessed to call you my friend.

I enjoy reading your blog. I don't drink anything but ice tea, just what I was raised to do. Never been to a tea except when I visit you. Love the dishes. I thank you for always commenting. I think I just may try your tea I'm not to old to learn something new. Where do you buy it.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love the blue willow set!! Love you and your blog, thank you for your honesty and sweet ways!! This is what blogging started out to be......no ads, no promotions, and no competition, just sharing and life at its best!! Thank you so much....xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteShelia, you are so sweet. It's what attracted me to your blog! I love your blue willow and must ask forgiveness for coveting it. Thank you for being You! ♥
ReplyDeleteWish I could come for tea with you sweet Sheila!! Especially with your pretty transferware and your cute tea cozy! Love it all!
ReplyDeleteShelia, always enjoy reading AND I appreciate the fact you return the favor! You are one of my blogging pals I think about how your doing and am anxious to read how your week or day is going. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for spreading your sunshine!
ReplyDeleteHappy 8 years of blogging! I would love to come for tea! I haven't tried that brand of tea. I'll have to try some.

Oh how I would completely love having a cuppa with you!! I have my scarlet jasmine cuppa here as I read and toast you with my tea!! Enjoy your blog!! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet sweet post! You always inspire me with the things you create and your beautiful sense of style. Can we dance to this song? Maybe we should just sip our tea together! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteFollowing you is a delight, Shelia. And I've never heard of Lady Grey tea -- I must discover it, for I'm rather fond of Earl!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, We certainly appreciate you, too!! You're such a dear, sweet blogging friend that we can always count on. I'll never be a big-time blogger, either. Obviously, that ship sailed without me. :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely remember your darling tea cozy; I would love to have one!! You could sell those online, I'm sure. Your blue and white tea set is lovely; blue and white dishes are so classic and versatile. I enjoyed your post, Shelia, and hope you have a great weekend!
Big hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
Adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Thank you for all your posts and just being yourself.
ReplyDeleteI love Earl Grey tea. I also have some Lady Grey tea. My other favorite is Constant Comment. I got a sample of it in a box tea one day and loved it so now I always have a box of it. Just a little sugar in mine.
If I am drinking iced tea I have to have it sweet (with sweetener or sugar) and lemon and lots of ice. Southern style for this Georgia girl :)
I so enjoy your posts Shelia, mostly because you are just being you!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy my cup of tea but I have to admit that my favourite is English breakfast followed by Darjeeling, which I've just discovered. Once upon a time I just drank it without taking any notice of the taste, but my palate must be growing up as I grow older because I'm getting fussy, haha.
Your Willow pattern is very pretty, blue and white is always lovely and fresh.
Diana
Dear Shelia, you've set a beautiful tea and I too enjoy Earl Grey and Lady Grey my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI love your Blue Willow pieces and tea pot. Makes a gorgeous setting with your darling tea cozy you created.
But the best part. YOU and your treasured friendship. I am so glad I met you in Blogland. You blog is always the happiest place to be. Wishing you continued fun being you and sharing with us your adventures, creations, and sweet personality.
Be Blessed.
Hugs, CM
And that is why we love you too and keep reading your blog! Love your tea cozy. I have looked and looked for one because I am not as good a crochet-er as you. If you have a pattern for that one, could you share it maybe? I would be willing to give it a try, although it won't look as professional as yours.
ReplyDeleteYou're one of the most genuine and sweet women that I know Shelia. I missed you a great deal while I was gone and I'm so glad I found you again.
ReplyDeletelove you too,
rue
Awww Shelia, I wish that I could sit down and have tea with you, especially since it is snowing outside, and on the first day of Spring! Probably is snowing your way too since you are only one state north of me now. I enjoy your blog, and enjoy you my friend and YOU stay a sweetie ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your style and you! Seven years is a long time, I've just been blogging for four years. I could use a cup of tea right now. It is snowing. And sticking......ugh.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy visiting your blog Shelia. I love Earl Grey tea and have a cup every morning for breakfast. I've never tried the Lady Grey tea yet but I'll take your word that it is good too. Have a good weekend and happy spring to you. Hugs. Pam
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Sheila, love your tea cozy too!
ReplyDeleteHaving tea with you makes my day! And I wish I could really sit down over tea and have a good, long chat. Maybe some day we will, dear friend. I love to come by and visit you and having tea with you is the best! Early Grey is my favorite but I do enjoy Lady Grey, too.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Shelia,
ReplyDeleteOh, dear friend, how truly blessed I am by your blog friendship!!!
Many times, I sense that we are kindred spirits!!!
Your statement truly spoke to my heart. . ." I'm not one of those big time bloggers who will never comment back to you. I'm not trying to get into the movies or magazines by knocking myself out doing projects till my face turns red. I'm just me, being silly, and living my life and loving you!"
Keep on, keeping on, dear one!!!
Fondly,
Pat
