Okay, it's time to play and it's Little Richard's turn. Do you give some of your furniture names? Well, I kinda do and if you haven't met him yet...I'd like to introduce you to Little Richard.
I changed up the top and wanted to show you what I did.
That's Little Richard way back there in the corner behind the piano. I'm going to paint him but just haven't done it yet. One of these days. You've probably seen this snap before.
I like this angle as I can see my balloon valance in the mirror. I'm milking it, I know! :)
Always love to have a few little birdies around and they flew right down here for my vignette!
Again, bringing in more blues, I poked down my large Blue Willow platter. And these little bitty butter pat plates, not sure what they are but I have six of them and poked them under a cloche.
Just having fun and playing with Little Richard.
One more little peep at my balloon valance! :) I'm milking it, I know!

Love that song and your little Richard! Remember bopping to that song - that kinda ages me! Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThe vignette really looks great. Good job.
Judy
Well, that balloon shade is cute enough to get a few "milkings" out of it. lol
ReplyDeleteYou can always paint the table someday but you can't UNpaint it....good choice, I think.
Happy to see Little Richard dressed for the Sunday show. xo Diana
You're too funny. I've never heard of naming the furniture. I'm going to have to think on that one. I am loving all the blue pieces along with the birdies. How charming.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are having fun settling in to the new abode, Shelia. Isn't it fun to play with out things? '-)
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! Every thing is so perfect and that name cracks me up!
ReplyDeletePlease come by my blog and join our link party Something to Talk About!
Have a great day!
Karen
I hate to see good furniture painted especially if it's a quality piece. Little Richard looks great all dressed out!
ReplyDeleteI can understand milking the lovely valance :)
ReplyDeleteI like to see good furniture retain it's original finish if possible :)
You are having such a good time arranging your new home. Don;'t you just love decorating and making everything new. You are doing duch a wonderful job on decorating and Little Richard look so good over by the piano.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Mary
I just love, love, love your piano Shelia! You have such a lovely and inviting home!
ReplyDeletePretty Sheila! Love your transferware and of course your balloon valance :)
ReplyDeleteI love to peek into your lovely home, Sheila. Your style is exactly what I love. Everything looks just beautiful and Little Richard will be even more beautiful when you get done with him. Love the balloon valance too...yeah...I just happened to notice it...lol!
ReplyDeleteWell, of course Little Richard was one of my favorite R&B's singer, back in the day. :)
ReplyDeleteI like YOUR Little Richard, too. Your new home is sure coming together and getting your personality added.
Love it.
Hi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI think you have more fun in your home(s) than should be legal!
I'm glad you're not painting some of your wood furniture; that means you agree with me!
Thanks for playing today.
Happy Blue Monday!
Love Little Richard and all the beautiful things he holds, especially the birds! I also like the little plates under the cloche -- that's a different way to display them and very effective!
ReplyDeleteHow did you soften and untangle the barbie hair again?...that was you wasnt it? I an trying to get the knots and rats nests out of a toy barbie horse's mane!! I thought you soaked it in fabric softener?? So far its not working....LOL THANKS in advance
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, LOVE little Richard. How gorgeous you made him look with your Blue Willow Platter and all the pretty accents. Got to have a few little birdies for the springtime and how sweet they are on the books. Darling little BW plates under the cloche. I must add a few to mine from your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteSweet view in the mirror too.
You home is lovely and you sure have done a lot since you've moved in. With your talents, you've made her a charmer.
I'll be bopping to that tune all day now. LOL
Hugs, CM
You know I love Little Richard! The new vignette is so pretty. I'm ready to bring out some birds also!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Be proud of the things that you made Shelia, nothing wrong with seeing your handiwork again!! xx
ReplyDeleteLittle Richard's lookin' good, Shelia! VERY tutti frutti! Your home is so welcoming. Very fond of that blue!
ReplyDeleteAnd well you should "milk" it, Shelia! : ) You did a great job on your valance! Love your vignette with the blue and white. I have some small Johnson Bros. Friendly Village dishes that, I think when I shared them, people told me they were berry dishes. I think they make for a nice side dish for vegetables (not that I've used them that way yet).
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love your blue and white platter so much!!!
ReplyDeleteSheila
Your room is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your vignetti! So pretty. And oh I do love me some Little Richard! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteLittle Richard is looking quite spiffy in this new duds. And, I love your balloon valance. I especially love seeing the hymnals on your piano. I wish I could come to sit and listen to you play.♥
ReplyDeleteOh those beautiful blue and white plates have me dreaming of spring! They are so pretty and bright!
ReplyDeleteGreat vignette...I so love the blue and white and glad you decided not to paint the table....and must say that I would be milking that gorgeous valance too!!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful vignette, Shelia! I don't name my furniture, except for the occasional "this old icky thing," but that's probably not what you are getting at....lol! I think Little Richard looks very handsome with all the blue and white dishes.
ReplyDeleteYou have an amazing talent for vignettes, Shelia and this one is no exception :)
ReplyDeleteI don't name my furniture, but I name my plants and cars lol
xo,
rue
Such a beautiful space and you have a knack for decorating...Love adding birdies too. Yes, and I do love your pretty valance.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great song....and love your lovely room. I also love pulling the blue in...it's my favorite color. Love you piano and also love you left it el natural, meaning you didn't paint it!
ReplyDeleteOh, Sheila, I have been away from blog land for a few months. It is so good to visit your blog. You are the first one I went to. I love how everything is coming together in your beautiful new home. You are such a beautiful decorating. Love it all. Thanks so much for sharing your home. Hugs to you my friend. Karie
