We have a very small entry, just big enough for this little table, so I wanted to go a bit more simple in here.
I grabbed a silver tray and poked down my favorite trees that I bought years ago at Hobby Lobby on clearance! I just love clearances, don't you? :) They remind me of a wedding cake's icing ~ so soft and lovely.
Then I added a tiny little glitter house snow scene in a jar and called it done. Simple and sweet and hopefully not too alluring to the grandchildren! :)
I did a switch-a-roo with my front door wreath. It was getting all smushed when the glass storm door was closed so I added a little clear Command Hook and just poked it up on the inside of the door. Works for me!
This delights my gorgeous peepers every time I pass it! :) Keep on Christmasing, y'all!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Wonderful Christmas Time
The mood is right
The spirits up
We're here tonight
And that's enough
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
The party's on
The feeling's here
That only comes
This time of year
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
The choir of children sing their song
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding ohhhh
Ohhhhhhh
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
The word is out
About the town
To lift a glass
Ahhh don't look down
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
The choir of children sing their song
They practiced all year long
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong
Ding dong, ding dong

I love the trees. I love clearance, too. They are building another Hobby Lobby near us. This one will be in Ft. Olgethorpe. One of my favorite stores for crafty items and decorations.
ReplyDeleteOh this is absolutely perfect in your entry and for those busy little fingers! I have a few decorations that have already been loved so much from the grand babies that they are now in the garbage. But, truly I would not have it any other way, if I put it out it is for all to enjoy! Love your Christmas vignette!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jemma
I agree with Renee the trees are lovely. You always decorate so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI too have a small entranceway, my nativity set usually goes there on top of the china cabinet. like your simple vignette, and little fingers hopefully can't do too much damage.

Your trees are beautiful indeed Shelia! They remind me of iced cakes as well, or Jasperware from Wedgwood, that is quite similar to this too. It will be a lovely greeting to all of your visitors. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia! Oh, I love your entryway. My favorite is the glitter house in the glass. I know this will be a very special Christmas for you and your family!
ReplyDeleteLove it Shelia- those are unique trees and the glitter house glass piece is adorable! The grandkids will enjoy staring at that! I have the same problem with wreaths because of the storm door so I have to find things that are super thin! I tried it on the outside of the storm door once but when the wind would pick up the wreath would start banging against the glass which isn't a good thing! The wreath looks very pretty on the inside- don't you love those command hooks!
ReplyDeleteAs pretty as always! Love your entryway, Shelia!
ReplyDeleteThe entryway looks so pretty! That wreath is definitely too nice to have smushed. Great idea to bring it inside the door.

ReplyDeleteYour entry decorations are perfect! Those Hobby Lobby trees are wonderful and I LOVE the little snow scene. I've been thinking I might make one with some little things I have. If there's time after the main decorating is done. You always inspire me, dear friend.
