Hello, Dear Ones! Can you believe it's almost Thanksgiving? I apologize for not posting much the last few months. I hate to say it but this move has kicked my bum! :) I don't seem to be able to get much done! I guess I have to admit, I'm not as young as I used to be. Well, one day I'll have this house together but until then...I'll share some snaps from a wonderful birthday celebration. Little Campie turned one year old and his other grandpa turned 70 so there was a joint birthday party.
Did you catch it? I misspelled 'birthday' but didn't realize it until I put up my post. Told you I was getting old! :)
Campie and Grampie donned with birthday hats!
Family snaps...
More family snaps...Campie says, what's going on? :)
There is so much preparation for a birthday party and wrapping presents is the most fun!
But the most fun is unwrapping the presents with a little help from big sister.
And finally, the birthday cake. Made especially for little Campie by his mother. She left off the icing because she knew he would dig right in and he did. He ended up taking both little chubby hands and just stated to knead the cake, or course with a handful to poke into his little mouth from time to time!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~Birthday

ReplyDeleteShelia, what a fun Birthday celebration! Campie is adorable! Love all the family pics! Now I know this move was hard and honey I'm STILL recovering from moving myself and then my Mom so I know how you feel. BUT, isn't it worth it to be there with family. I am so happy to be near my Grand and I know you are also.
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,
Linda

Those babies will only be young once, but that house will be there long after they are grown. Just enjoy them while you can and make memories!!
ReplyDeleteThat's the best advice and you're so right! I'm doing my best to make memories! Thanks for popping in to see me.
Deletebe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Aren't you glad you moved up north just for special times like this? Trust me, time flies so fast -- those little ones will fly out of the nest all too soon. Sally
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious Family...and all together for a Birthday...or two!!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia!
ReplyDeleteYou've been a busy busy girl! Your new home is gorgeous and your decorating touches are fabulous!! It takes a while to get settled in a new place and for everything to find it's new spot to "live" doesn't it? The birthday party is adorable, so fun and memorable. And you look fabulous dahhhling!
Great Barbie dresses too. You've inspired me to use some of my fabric scraps for a mini "Project Runway" for my grand sweetie girls dolls!
Blessings to you & just take one day at a time!! Edie Marie & Marie Antoinette.
Oh how precious...Campie & Grampie...I love it! I know you had a wonderful time. The house will be there when you are ready to make it happen :)
ReplyDeleteJust takes some time... I'm STILL moving stuff around years later because I tried to do everything too fast! A big move like you guys made is an emotional upheaval as well - give yourself some time to catch your breath. You've had a lot going on (and been through a lot) in the last few years. Gotta take care of you, too! XOXO
ReplyDeleteThese photos are wonderful, Shelia. Making great memories. Love the first photo of the birthday boys. We did the same with our little Gwynn and her grandpa this year who turned one and sixty. Great fun. You have a beautiful family, girl. :))
ReplyDeleteOh that's so precious, Shelia. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to both the "boys". I think that is just wonderful and guess what? That house will be there waiting for you when you get around to it. There is a whole emotional process that goes with that big of a move, too, and that can kick your butt a bit also. How well I know THAT!
ReplyDeleteYour family is just beautiful! LOVE it!!! xo Diana
I enjoy seeing first birthday photos. Camp is so cute and looks so happy. A fun celebration for him and his grandfather.
ReplyDeleteI so can relate to the move being so hard...meee, too. It just about killed me..in fact, we've been in our new place for a year now and I am just now getting over it all. :)
ReplyDeleteCarter has grown so much...they both are adorable.
Happy Birthday to the birthday boys! Looks like it was fun for all ages! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any cuter than this. Happy Birthday to the boys!
ReplyDeleteThese are such fun pics, Shelia! Both of those precious little ones have grown so much and you grandparents look so proud! Beaming!!! I know you are loving being in the same area! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Camp!! :)

You have a beautiful family Sheila dear and I love that kind of birthday you guys did! Don't worry about posting, I know what you mean about slacking off, since I've been slacking too!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila! I went back and read a bunch of posts that I've missed. Welcome to Albany! It sounds like you're settling in and your house is really shaping up--it looks lovely. I'm sure your family must be so happy to have you here. We'll have to have coffee sometime soon--
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st Birthday to Camp! What fun party pictures!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol
Happy birthday to little Camp. Looks like a great party. I am so happy for you that you get to share so much of your families lives now.
ReplyDeleteI think you've gotten an amazing amount of work done in such a short period of time. And such a beautiful family you have.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to both of them!!! This is just the sort of thing that you moved for isn't it, so I am so glad that you all got to have fun together. xx
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Look at all the new family memories you are gathering already! Hard to believe it's been a year already since Camp was born! Time sure flies! Your daughter was smart leaving the frosting off! Both grandkids are adorable- so glad for you that you can be close to them now!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you were able to post at all with that move! Hope the settling is pretty smooth by the holidays -- I know you love them! And happy wishes to your "boys!"
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, Happy Birthday to the boys. What wonderful pics and looks like so much fun. You are making new special memories and the move so worth it for times like this.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the house. I am sure it is coming along wonderful and your special touch in each room.
Have a special weekend.
Hugs and Blessings
Happy birthday, Campie! You have a beautiful family...Sheila, your cute little granddaughter looks just like what I would imagine you looked like at that age.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Happy Birthday to little Camp and his grandpa. Carter looks so much like her grandma (you) and is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteDon't be so hard on yourself. We all slow down - just take it easy and it will get done. Your probably just like me - want it all done ASAP. I find that it takes me a lot longer to do things.
Party looked great and so glad that you all had a terrific time.
Mary
Your grandchildren are adorable! You'll get it all together in time...slow and easy!
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet baby boy!!
I can only imagine how busy you are after a move like that!!
Thanks so much for dropping by! I am back after a blog Break and now posting over at my Christmas blog...
Hugs,
Deb
Precious pictures, Shelia, and I cannot get over how your granddaughter looks just like you! Does anyone else tell you that? Such darling grandchildren, and I still remember our son's early birthday parties. Those years were so sweet and so much fun. We have missed your posts, but I can well understand how a big move like this would wipe you out for a while. Just take your time and don't feel pressured to get everything done right away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
Happy Birthday to the boys...looks like everyone had a wonderful time! I love the photo of everyone with their cute BD hats on...hugs...Penny
