Hello, Dear Ones!
Oh, don't you just love Blogland and all of our most inspiring and talented bloggers?!
I used to search and search my cookbooks looking for the perfect recipes and now I don't have to do that! You lovely bloggers have helped to take that search away ~ I just visit your blogs and there you have these wonderful recipes just waiting for me to cook up.
So, I went visiting Adrienne at La Vie Quotidienne and she was sharing a cookie recipe! Say no more! They looked wonderful and sounded wonderful and they were baked by a real person with a guarantee of goodness!
So I made these scrumptious oatmeal cookies!
Aren't they beautiful?
You can always trust a blogger ~ Dear Ones, these are so delicious. They are big and puffy but just a little bit crisp at the same time! They have pecans in them and the next time I make them I just may toss in a handful of raisins!
Oh, I would never eat in front of my friends, my little mother taught me that was rude, so grab one of those precious little Rooster napkins (my friend Linda, from A La Carte gave me these) and a cookie and enjoy! ;)
Thank you Adrienne!!
If you would like the recipe to these delicious cookies, please go visit Adrienne for the recipe and tell her I sent you!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that you like the cookies, I think they are scrumptious, but it is always nice to know that other people think so too. Have a very, very happy day...and thank you for the nice comment on my arbor, it was quite a project.
Oh my goodness, those look so yummy! Oatmeal raisin is The Man's fave. I will be pinning this recipe. I, too, am totally into bloggers' recipes. I have an old laptop that I keep in my kitchen just for recipes. Some times it can truly be a "perfect world!"
ReplyDeleteWe love Cookie Monster at my house, oatmeal cookies and roosters!! These really do look so yummy!
ReplyDeletehugs!
Linda
It is lovely to do a spot of baking sometimes isn't it! Hope that you have fun sharing them over the weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteCookies, ymm. My favorite dessert.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the other day about recipes after I looked something up on line. Thought about my mom and grandmothers and mother in law learning to cook mostly by just doing it. They all used some recipes. I learned to cook so many things just by how my mom did them. I am a cookbook collector. :)
Beautiful and yummy-looking!
ReplyDeleteOh my....it is almost 3:00 p.m. and I need a little something sweet. These would be perfect. Some people can just make cookies look so good....these are those cookies and I'm sure they taste amazing. I will have to check out that recipe. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAs much as we love cookies, I need to check out this recipe! Yummy! Your pictures of them in the stand on your counter is so cozy and charming. Your house always looks so welcoming!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Leslie

ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, thank you for sharing the yummy looking cookie with us and the link. I have to watch gluten but could sub the flour with rice flour. They look beautiful under your cake cloche. Darling rooster napkins too.
ReplyDeleteI know you can find the best recipes in blogland.
Also thank you for stopping by. I am so glad you liked my little cow creamers. Wishing you a great weekend my sweet friend.
Hugs and Blessings!!
You're right! I get so many great recipes from my blog buddies! Happy weekend my friend! Any cookies left? heehee!
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious Shelia! but not fair to this strict dieting girl! Your presentation is art, as always.....x :)
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious and beautifully displayed!
ReplyDeleteOatmeal cookies are the best! I love them with cranberries and pecans too! I made the biscuit recipe you posted not long ago. They came out great! I put a picture of them on my blog recently. I love all the recipes, patterns, and tips I find on blogs! My favorite recipes are still the old hometown cookbooks I own though. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey ARE beautiful AND they look delicious! LOVE oatmeal cookies- my favorite---nopel, I lied- I like molasses ones even better. xo Diana

ReplyDeleteThanks dear sweet Shelia.
Mary
These cookies look so inviting, Shelia. Love your beautiful cookie stand too.
ReplyDeleteOatmeal cookies are my favorite!! You're right about the cookbooks and bloggers! Instead of my cookbooks, I go online where you can find recipes that have actually been used by real people!!!
