Hello, Dear Ones!
Well, first off I read it wasn't a good thing to have the wording in your post centered because it makes your eyes go funny. Now I would never want your most gorgeous peepers to go funny so now I'll be lefting my words from now on.
Okay, about a month ago I found this darling little cow creamer and feel gloriously marvelously head over heels in love with her. You may have met her but if you didn't, meet Buttercup!
Well, in the short month I've had Buttercup, I've acquired a few more cow creamers. So I thought it would be fun to post my new cow creamers each day for a week! Would you come along with me for the cow creamers ride? Oh, I hope so. Okay, here's my first entry...
Feast your most gorgeous peepers upon this duo! Are they not gloriously marvelously gorgeous? I was so excited when I found them and they were 1/2 price so I tossed down $11 for the beauties.I do love to name some of my cuties so I asked these gals if they had any idea what they would like me to call them. Of course, they said in unison, just call us The Color Purple! I was thinking more along the lines of Violet and Lavender. They said absolutely not, they were The Color Purple, a pair, a duo, a couple and that was that. Okay, The Color Purple it is.
I'm sure you're seeing only one is a creamer and the other is a SUGAR BOWL! Isn't this gloriously marvelous!?
The Color Purple creamer looks just like Buttercup except the eyes are a little bit different and of course she's purple! ;)
Well, shoot! The Color Purple creamer had a bell just like Buttercups at one time. You can see the little wire hanger. This was certainly not gloriously marvelous! I guess I could hang a little jingle bell on her! :)
Now I give you, well, I'm not giving her to you literally :) , The Color Purple sugar bowl. Isn't she so very gloriously marvelously elegant? She just looks so proud.
I do believer she is a bit older than The Color Purple creamer. She looks so much more mature and has a few more wrinkles (I'm whispering as I say this).Isn't she gloriously marvelously darling? I think I just love her. She has a bell around her neck but it's stuck on her for good.
The Color Purple told me they sing and would be glad to sing me a duet any time I wanted. Now that's gloriously marvelously fantastic! Don't you just love my purple cows? Um, I mean my The Color Purples.
Hope you'll stay with me and I'll post another creamer tomorrow.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Miss Celie's Blues (Sister) from The Color Purple
Sister, you've been on my mind
Sister, we're two of a kind
So, sister, I'm keepin' my eye on you
I betcha think I don't know nothin
But singin' the blues, oh, sister
Have I got news for you, I'm something
I hope you think that you're something too
Scufflin', I been up that lonesome road
And I seen alot of suns going down
Oh, but trust me
No low life's gonna run me around
So let me tell you something Sister
Remember your name, no twister
Gonna steal your stuff away, my sister
We sho' ain't got a whole lot of time
So-o-o shake your shimmy Sister
'Cause honey the 'shug' is feelin' fine
~ sung by my purple cows
"I've never seen a purple cow
ReplyDeleteI never hope to see one
but I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather see than be one!"
My grandmother would say this poem while she poured me a frothy "Purple Cow." - Grape soda and vanilla ice cream!
Moo!
Love the Color Purple and Buttercup creamers. I used to have a white one years ago. Love the bells on them too!

Love the purple cows. How fun to have them to use or display. Good tip about the words are on the left. For a long time, I centered mine.If you get your domain name and need help, just holler.....xo
ReplyDeleteI love the purple cows. Your table is so pretty and springy.
ReplyDeleteWow- LOVE your purple cows and everything purple here! I was going to say I wasn't really a purple person but then I realized that lilacs are my favorite Spring flowering bush and little sweet violets are my favorite small Spring flower...and that I love lavender so I guess I DO love purple. lol
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean about left handed lettering and not centering it? I think my posts are all centered? xo Diana
I love your purple cows! They look great on your table. Very spring-like!
ReplyDeleteViolet is singing !!!
ReplyDeleteWow, they look so grand on your table! How fun, can't wait to see the others. Have a delightful day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet set, Shelia! I don't think I've ever see animals in color like this. I didn't know that about the centering of post wording. I will have to go back to having it to the left, too.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute- and I can't say I've ever seen purple ones!

What a fun post! I think they would look wonderful with the Mardi Gras toile:)
ReplyDeleteVery precious Indeed! This reminded me of a business that the owners named The Purple Cow! They have a huge sign with a big purple cow; I believe surrounded my all kinds of dairy deserts!, Ice cream cones, shakes, and other tasty deserts and sandwiches! Love your new find!
ReplyDeleteWow, Shelia -- your new purple creamer and sugar bowl are so pretty!! I have to tell you, though, I'm in love with your dainty violet-patterned cup and saucer. Gorgeous!! I have met Buttercup previously, and she's a real beaut, my friend. Her personality is just popping out. :) I will look forward to seeing the rest of your collection.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Blessings,
Denise at Forest Manor
Well, I love Violet and Lavender! Those girls are pretty! Love this table, too, Shelia!
ReplyDeleteI think I am getting addicted to your creamers, too! Keep going! I enjoy seeing what you find next!
Did I put an exclamation mark after each sentence? I do believe I did! ;-)
xo
Sheila
Love your purple cows so darn cute. I have never seen a purple sugar bowl cow.
ReplyDeleteI was at Walmart on Tuesday looking for some rabbits in the dish department and what did I see ...... a very pretty white cow cream pitcher and I thought of you. It was very pretty and only cost $4.95. So if you don't have a white one - stop by Walmart it's in the dish department where the white dishes are.
Looking forward to seeing more of your creamers...........
Mary
What a cute cow cream and sugar set. I didn't know you had a collection so will get to see more of them soon. Have a lovely day. Pamela
ReplyDeleteToo cute Sheila!! You must have quite a collection of creamers! I hope they get on well with your chickens and roosters! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, they are as adorable as can be....:)
ReplyDeleteI have a creamer just like Buttercup. She was my grandmother's. But, I have never seen purple ones before! They are really nice! They remind me of years ago when some restaurants and diners would actually serve you cream in them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me, Eileen. I can't find your blog to comment.
DeleteSimply adorable -- since you've used your first one to hold roses, wouldn't these be lovely holding lavender or lily of the valley?? Very unusual color -- I don't think I've seen anything like these and certainly not with the sugar bowl as well.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen purple ones before. You are getting quite a herd. :)
ReplyDeleteA cow a day, Shelia will play, now that is just way too cute! Oh my goodness, look at those unique purple creamers, they are just adorable! I know Buttercup is just loving the The Color Purple buds!
ReplyDeleteOne misses a lot while traveling -- like purple cows! Adorable -- and those topiaries are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a purple cow creamer before! They're different and unique...and colorful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThese two are so proud looking and they are in My favorite color.Wonderful find.
ReplyDeleteI love your purple cows. Do they have any markings? I'd like to find something similar - they look happy and not all cow creamers do. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute Sheila! I've got a few cow creamers and butter tubs that I was going to post about in the near future. I've never seen the purple before though! They are so pretty and your setting looks so inviting!
