Hello, Dear Ones!
Happy Palm Sunday!
Happy Palm Sunday!
I thought I would share with you today what I've put on my front doors.
Spring is here and I had to have some springyness poked up on these doors!
See?
I bought these little blue metal baskets about three years ago and had intended to use them, but I stowed them away, kinda forgot about them...you know how that goes.
So I pulled out my tub of Spring fauxs and went to town arranging in my little blue metal baskets.
This is what I came up with.
Do you like it?
It's a pretty little sight from the street!
I do love making my own wreaths and what not for my doors.
I'd really like to make just one but since I have two front doors I have to make two of everything.
I'm not complaining though because the glass doors let in so much needed light.
My house tends to be on the darkside.
Doo do doo do (Twilight Zone music inserted here)
I tried, but I just didn't get mirror images.
Well, I think that just makes life a little bit more interesting, don't you think? :)
What's on your front door?

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~ I love this song...I know, I'm old :)
Love Is All Around
I feel it in my toes
Love is all around me
And so the feeling grows
It is written on the wind
Thats everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show
You know I love you
I always will
My mind's maid up
By the way that I feel
There's no beginning
There be no end
Cause on my love
You can depend
I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed
I kind a get to thinking
Of all the things we said
You gave your promise to me
And I gave mine to you
I need someone beside me
In everything I do
You know I love you
I always will
My mind's maid up
By the way that I feel
There's no beginning
There be no end
Cause on my love
You can depend
It is written on the wind
Thats everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show

Your basket arrangements are so pretty, Shelia! The door, your porch, everything is beautiful. The double doors are so classic! And you can have a lot of fun changing out these baskets. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Palm Sunday!
XO,
Jane
So pretty, love the look. You are so luck to have spring weather, we still have snow.
ReplyDeleteI always loved a double front door, Shelia. Your baskets are lovely. xo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous front doors my friend and the baskets are lovely, just welcoming us to go in...wish I could just ring that bell and have you open it for me!! Enjoy your spring Sunday weather! Hugs,
ReplyDeleteFABBY
I don't know if I ever saw your doors before! (where have I been) They are gorgeous and I love your front door decorations. They are just gorgeous and close enough to twins to look great together. Have a wonderful Sunday- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYour double doors are beautiful and the fleurs arrangements look pretty. I am afraid my door is nekkid.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Shelia. Your front doors make me miss the doors at our house in Oklahoma. It was all glass like yours and so pretty. I love your flower buckets. They are perfect with the springy blooms.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty and so cheerful for Spring!!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteMy front door still has an ice crystal wreath on it because here its still WINTER and cold!! Can't decorate the door for spring and summer because birds continue to make nests in the wreaths and then can't use the door....so wait until fall to decorate....how funny is that??
Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you found those blue buckets, dear friend!!!
They are gorgeous on your doors!!!
Nothing on the front door...
but I put a garland on the grate and a bird's nest in a half basket planter.
Does that count???
We're enjoying 6+ inches of fresh SNOW this Palm Sunday!!!
It has been an interesting Winter turned Spring in 2013, indeed!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Happy Palm Sunday!! Your bouquets look lovely! Love your doors!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, but with those doors...I don't think I would put anything on them...they are art themselves!
ReplyDeleteShelia I really love those little metal baskets! I have one somewhere and now I want to find it and make a door hanger of my own! Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
Your front doors are beautiful and the baskets of spring flowers look great! I have a yellow berry wreath on my door and added an aqua garland from the dollar store with tiny eggs just for spring. Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty baskets for your front doors Sheila! I would love to have double doors- I just love the look of them.A wreath and a basket with a bunny arrangement on the inside of the wreath is hanging on my door- the wreath was looking too empty on the inside as it was so large so put the basket with bunny inside the wreath- cute but nothing spectacular!
ReplyDeleteGot to see our son from CA for 2 hours this week- drove the 3 hours up to Denver to see him and then 3+ hours back in a snow storm but so worth getting to hug on my boy!
bee blessed

Gosh, Sheila, there is nothing on my doors! Time to get creative and make a wreath for Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh Shelia, I love those metal basket with your flowers in them. They are beautiful and look so swell on the front doors.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say but today was drop dead beautiful in Sunny SO CA. I feel so bad for all our bloggers that have cold weather and snow.

Mary

I love your pretty baskets!! They look wonderful, cheerful and SPRINGY!!! Whenever I do mirror image wreaths I use 2 easels next to each other and As place an element in one wreath I then do the other one. Have you seen the easels at Michaels or HL? If not ask them if they carry them they are a GREAT thng to have. XO, inky
ReplyDeleteSo cheerful and bright! Love it! We are 10 inches deep in snow here! I envy your sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYour front doors look so bright and cheery.
ReplyDeleteYour flower baskets are beautiful! I like them very much. Have a wonderful day, sweet Shelia!
ReplyDeleteLovely, and great find on the blue baskets! Your double front doors are really beautiful. My house is dark, too, and I think two doors with windows would be very helpful! Hugs ~ Mary
ReplyDeleteThey look adorable!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to have you be a part of SEASONAL SUNDAYS!

Very cute! and what pretty front doors u have anyways!
ReplyDeleteYour doors greet with a very pretty Spring welcome.
ReplyDeleteI have an English Ivy wreath on our front door. Right now I have a pink cloth bunny tucked in the center of the wreath. I do the same thing for July Fourth with an Uncle Sam and I have a scarecrow I put in the wreath for Autumn. I change the whole wreath for the Christmas holidays.
I always try to remember that real florals are rarely identical, so I try not to worry about it when I'm creating something faux. I think your door floral baskets are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour springy outdoor pictures lifted my spirits as I peer out on 8 inches of snow :(
ReplyDeleteYou're full of inspiration, Shelia, and I appreciate you teaching me.
ReplyDeleteI don't think your blue buckets need to match; in fact, I like a bit of difference. It creates extra interest for the eye.
They are blue-tiful!
Happy Blue Monday!
Hi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful display on your gorgeous double front doors. Love the french buckets and the slightly different style is so charming.

ReplyDeleteSheila, your baskets of posies look marvelous and so inviting. I am still waiting for Spring to arrive here where I live. I have a Spring wreath to go on my front door as soon as I'm back on my feet again. Have a beautiful Easter weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
The baskets are adorable and your doors are beautiful. It definitely feels like spring. Thanks for sharing at Restyled Sundays!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful not quite twin baskets -- you are right about not needing to be mirror images. I love those gorgeous double doors! On my door is a sign saying "spring" -- it's the only thing even remotely "spring" out there with all that snow! :-) Thanks so much for sharing on Busy Monday!
