Hello, Dear Ones.
Well, I've started the new year off running behind.
My Christmasing is still up.
We've been so busy I haven't had the couple days I need to start making the mess it takes to take it all down and put it all up.
So...I have my day today and I'm going to go to town with my deChristmasing.
I wanted to poke up a little post so I'm showing you Carter today.
If you don't know who Carter is, she is my pride and joy and only little grandchild I have.
Indulge my grandmotherness.
This is usually how we saw Carter ~ just a blur.
This little girl had more energy than the energizer bunny!
She loves to dance!
Notice the pigtails.
Her Mommy had never put Carter's hair up in pigtails
so I had to change that.
I thought she looked so cute.
She has a little 'stinkerness' in her and grabbed the water bottle used to help style her hair
and we were all getting a little spritz! :)
After all the zooming, dancing, spritzing and playing,
Carter decided it was time to chill and eat a tiny little muffin I had made just for her.
I talked to her on the phone this morning and asked if she wanted to come back and see me.
She said, "Yes! But I can't today ~ I'm dancing!"
Love that little stinker!
See you all when my deChristmasing is done.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Dizzy
Dizzy, I'm so dizzy my head is spinning
Like a whirlpool it never ends
And it's You girl makin' it spin
You're making me dizzy
First time that I saw You girl, I knew that I just had to make You mine
But it's so hard to talk to You with fellows hangin' round You all the time
I want You for my sweet pet, but You keep playing hard to get
I'm going round in circles all the time
Dizzy, I'm so dizzy my head is spinning
Like a whirlpool it never ends
And it's You girl makin' it spin
You're making me dizzy
I finally got to talk to You and I told You just exactly how I felt
Then I held You close to me and kissed You and my heart began to melt
Girl You've got control on me,cuz I'm so dizzy I can't see
I need to call a doctor for some help
Dizzy, I'm so dizzy my head is spinning
Like a whirlpool it never ends
And it's You girl makin' it spin
You're making me dizzy
my head is spinning
Like a whirlpool it never ends
And it's You girl making it spin
You're making me dizzy
you're making me dizzy
Like a whirlpool it never ends
And it's You girl makin' it spin
You're making me dizzy
First time that I saw You girl, I knew that I just had to make You mine
But it's so hard to talk to You with fellows hangin' round You all the time

She is so adorable Shelia, grandchildren sure make your life so worth getting up in the morning! Which I did early today to put two granddaughters on the bus this morning:)
ReplyDeleteYour Carter is so cute, love the pigtails! Bet it's quiet now that she's gone home :( Hope you can get lots of your de-Christmasing done today. Hugs ~ Mary

What a cutie patootie!!! I know you had such a good time!!!
ReplyDeleteRelax on putting Christmas away, I still have many touches out and about here, of course I don't put a tree up anymore so that's half the work!!! But, I would go all out if I had grandchildren visiting!!! hugs...cleo
Oh Shelia she is a little cutie pie!! Have fun deChristmasing, it's never fun taking it all down and being left with a mess!
ReplyDeleteLoved all of these preious pictures! Love Carter's pigtails too!!! I used to put my own daughter's hair up in pigtails becuase I think that pigtails are so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteYour so right all little girls should wear pigtails. She wears them well.
ReplyDeleteShe's little cutie pie Shelia. You must miss her. Have fun de-Christmassing. Such a big job.
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable! Love the pigtails! I agree at this age they are just a blur! I have trouble getting pics of Tiger as he is always on the move. Enjoy your deChristmasing! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteCarter looks like a little sweetie in her pigtials, Sheila. Loved her facial expression in the picture of her spraying the bottle. She looks a lot like you in that one, and somehow I picture you having just as much fun with her. Grandma didn't, um, encourage her to aim that bottle at anyone in particular, did she? *smile* Looks like you have a load of fun when she's visiting!
ReplyDeleteOh she's precious! She sure looks more and more girlish instead of babyish. Hate to tell you that. :)
ReplyDeleteSheila, Aren't grandchildren the best? I have five of my own and they are growing up so fast. Carter is an absolute doll and I bet she is the light of your eye. xx, Sherry
ReplyDeleteYour Grand-daughter is a delight and the pigtails just add a whole lot of enhancement to a little Miss that has a lot of character! You will soooo enjoy everything about being a Grandma. She's a cutie. Nothing can outshine being a Gramma!
ReplyDeleteEvery season will be better than the one before. So much fun.
God bless,
d on the prairie
She is so cute! Bet she is a bundle of joy.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love it now that they are talking sentences? They are so funny at that age. Riley will sometimes say to me as I'm leaving her house.."Call me." Cracks me up every time. Enjoy the de-Christmasing. Deb
ReplyDeleteI love your conversation with Carter this morning! She is so cute!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol

ReplyDeleteHow sweet. I asked Leila if I could put pig tails in her hair the other day and she said, no. She is so tender headed and her mom said she is going to just have to get tough.
ReplyDeleteSweet Shelia my heart is melting. She is too sweet!

Shelia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie, indeed that little Carter is!!!
I would love to have been a bug on the wall just to observe all her antics!!! Know you miss her terribly, so, dear one, do keep yourself busy!!! Best way to chase the blues away!!!

What a little sweetie! Don't they just have so much energy? I enjoyed a tea party with my little one this afternoon. I picked her up after school, and we had a great time. Mommy had a Board of Ed meeting so it was Mimi time. :o) such fun!!
ReplyDeleteShelia, looking at the photo of Carter, that is nearest your photo, it's obvious where she gets her cute personality! She looks a lot like you. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHelen

ReplyDeleteShe is so cute Sheila! I have so many of those blurred pics of Addison, they are such busy creatures.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love doing piggytails? It's one of my favorite for little girls. I know your missing her, hang in there Grandma, I know that feeling.
Big Hugs,
Cindy
Good morning Shelia, I adore you Carter pics. There is nothing to forgive for our grandmotherness. Our grands are the joys of getting older. I do miss the days when mine were the age of Carter. Such absolute fun.
ReplyDeleteDon't work too hard putting Christmas away. HA! HA! That was a silly thing to say huh?
Love, Jeanne
Cute as a button!Carter's photos remind me of Drew's photos! I usually see a blur when photographing him...and he is 7! G'kids are the very best entertainment.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to visit this morning. My blogathon is still in progress, keeping me busy. I am in awe of bloggers who do this every day as a matter of course!
Ahhhhh! Piggy tails! Can't...breathe...too...cute...
