Hello Dear Ones!!
Well, now that I seem to be up and running correctly on my blog
I can show you some of what my dainty fingers have been doing.
Here's my two page spread for Dana's circle journal.
Her title is "Knowing Me Knowing You" ah-haa
Oh course I started to think about being all girly and stuff so that's what I went for.
I found an image of a sweet little dresser and added a lace skirt.
I added titles to the little bottles on the dresser: Joy, Hope, Love, Peace, Bliss and Smile.
Gave Dana a little black dress and purse so she would look fabulous!
Pretty girly, don't you think?
Then on my second page...more girliness.
Her request was we were to pick five words about ourselves and use them.
So going along with my girly theme, I used five mirrors and added "my words" on the fronts and also a little lipstick kiss (keeping it girly). :)
The five words I used to describe me were Christian, Creative, Pollyanna, Discerning and Sixty.
I loved how the little mirrors turned out.
Then I fixed the mirrors so you can flip open the glass and read why the words apply to me!
I'm so wonderful, aren't I?
Oh, I should have used the word "humble", you think?
Please know I'm just a silly and will always be a silly.
Shoot! I didn't use that word either. Maybe I should have used 10 words to describe me and not just 5!
Hope you like my take on your journal, Dana!
PART TWO
********************************************************
Now you'll know the reason for my title "Two By Two".
I failed to post my pages last month for Kay Ellen's journal "Travels By The Sea".
So to delight your most gorgeous peepers...here it is.
Well, since Mr. Precious and I are cruisaholics, that's the first thing that came to my mind.
My first page has a graphic of an olden add from the Cunard Cruise Lines.
We made a transatlantic sail on the Queen Mary 2 a couple of years ago
and this just seemed a perfect spin for me to use.
I was informed, the Cunard vessels are not cruise ships they are ocean liners.
La Te Dah! :)
Cruising is so relaxing and very bubbly...notice my circles and hand drawn bubbles.
I love the olden graphics and just had to use them for this page to show
some of the many wonderful things to do while cruising.
Bon Voyage...gotta get on deck and wave your tiny hand off! :)
Play deck games, attend parties and meet folks!
'Member those little rubberly swim caps? :)
But one of the most memorable things about Travels By The Sea is eating!
There's always something to eat everywhere you turn on a cruise ship.
Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any more midnight buffets but there are some midnight chocolate buffets!
Holy Moly! Now that's my kind of buffeting!
I'm so enjoying being part of my circle journal group. I'll be receiving another journal to work on in the next few days. We have a month to work on the journal and then we pass it on to the next.
If you ever get the chance to do is - go for it!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~ this was a given! :)
Knowing Me Knowing You
No more carefree laughter
Silence ever after
Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes
Here is where the story ends, this is goodbye
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
There is nothing we can do
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
We just have to face it, this time we're through
(This time we're through, this time we're through
This time we're through, we're really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go
(I have to go this time
I have to go, this time I know)
Knowing me, knowing you
It's the best I can do
Mem'ries (mem'ries), good days (good days), bad days (bad days)
They'll be (they'll be), with me (with me) always (always)
In these old familiar rooms children would play
Now there's only emptiness, nothing to say
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
There is nothing we can do
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
We just have to face it, this time we're through
(This time we're through, this time we're through
This time we're through, we're really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go
(I have to go this time
I have to go, this time I know)
Knowing me, knowing you
It's the best I can do

You found a new budding art interest Shelia. Scrapbooking or making journals is really fun. I hope you do this more often and share to us your beautiful art from the heart.
ReplyDeleteYou are great at this scrapbook/journaling. I love the 5 words you used to describe yourself. They kind of all apply to me too, except one, not yet, but soon (in a couple of years)! lol Great job and happy to see your Blogger issues are over. xo
ReplyDeleteSheila, thanks so much for posting up-close pictures of the journal pages. You take great pictures...I'm so inept when it comes to photography. The little mirrors are just the cutiest way to explain your words. Dana is just going to love it and Kay Ellen's pages warm this cruiser's heart. I mailed Grace's book to you yesterday so start watching for it Monday or Tuesday. Lovely blog, by the way.
ReplyDeleteShelia, what a wonderful post! Your scrapbook/journal is out of this world! Way to go! Nothing like the fun of working on a scrapbook and blogging!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are up and running at full steam! This post was so adorable and it screams how fun and intersting you are!
ReplyDeleteLoved those midnight buffets too!
You are such an artist, you make the most awesome pages for these journals. Who keeps the journals when they're completed? Oh, BTW, wanted to tell you that after hearing you got your computer problems cleared up after removing Google Chrome, I told my hubs to get it off my computer (please :) - he took it off this morning and my computer is like moving so fast I have to hold on to my seat to keep from flying out the window! Soooo glad I learned about that from you. Have a great rest of the weekend. Hugs ~ Mary
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love your pages! I'm working on a journal right now....I could do this for myself, couldn't I? What a great idea! And yes...it would be hard to limit the words to 5!
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying "knowing more about you, too"!!!Your creative talents appear to have no end! Thank you for sharing your journaling with us! Beautiful work, dear friend!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Looks like you are having fun with the journals. Thanks for sharing your pages. They look great!
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute! I wish I had the talent to do this. I love your creative papers! Just precious Shelia:)
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous!! I love them both but I have to say the "girly" one is my favorite, I just love the little mirrors!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and have a great night!
(hugs)

Wow Miss Shelia, those journals are sure the cat's meow. I love them all, and I'm so empressed with all the girls. What a great idea Miss Beverly had to start this. Xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSheila, These pages are so well done. You are naturally creative my friend. I have to work at it in a big way. We are having so much fun and I am thrilled to be one of the talented bunch in our circle. Not that I am but I'm learning!!! If only I had a room for all the stuff I am collecting. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteLove your song choice. You are right nothing else would do as well as this one.
Packing for our trip. I did a post for tomorrow about it. Bill and I are considering spending our last night in Galveston when we visit you. I think that is a Tuesday and we would leave from there to go home the next day. What do you think? I will call you for a recommendation for a hotel/motel if Tuesday is good for you to have lunch or dinner together. We will have Cheri'.
Love, Jeanne
Happy Pink Saturday, dear Shelia. I know it is Monday now, but I still made it. Girl, I hope you are loving these journals as much as I am. Don't we have the most wonderful group? You all rock with your creativity.
ReplyDeleteI love both of these. Clearly you got all of the creative genes. ♥♥♥ to you, sweet sister.
Oh My! More wonderful cleverness from you! What a great job you did with both of the journals. Love all of your special touches. laurie
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this post,Sheila? Oh my. . . you did such a great job on our journals!! I love both of them and am so looking forward to October when our journals are back in our little hands!! I'm putting the finishing touches on your journal pages.....hope to complete it tomorrow. We had the little grands this weekend so I didn't get much done in the creative department....however, I was very busy chasing 6 and 3 year olds....and keeping the 7 mo. old for a few hours. I made my son pick him back up and take him home for the night!! When he's a sure-fired 'sleeping through the night' kinda kiddo, I will love to have him over with his big bro and sis! :)
ReplyDeleteAgain...you did a great job on both of our books! Dana
