Hello, Dear Ones.
I felt it was time to do some flippin' on my baker's rack in the breakfast room.
Here it is all dusted and flipped!
This is the way it was formally dressed.
Well, I decided I would lighten and brighten it up a bit.
Here's the top shelf.
I brought in more whites and summery colors.
I've found a few treasures in the past weeks and the chicken tureen is one of them.
Isn't she cute?
I'm loving her all cute like and sitting on her little nest and some cookbooks.
She can't read so I know it was okay that I poked a chicken one under her nest to raise her up a bit.
I was just thrilled to find this pretty Westmoreland paneled milk glass pitcher.
So I poked in some blooms - faux ones, of course! :)
Here's the second shelf.
When I first got my baker's rack, I made little reversible runners for each shelf.
I flipped them over to the toile side
- lighter and brighter.
I love my little hens on nests and have a couple more.
I'm always on the lookout for these!
I kept out this cute little dish rack so I could poke some of my dishes in it.
Look really closely on these first little plates you'll see some very sweet Roosters.
You know how I love my yard birds. :)
I keep a couple of my Le Cruset pots here so when I need one, they're handy.
Well, I've flipped!
I'll be looking around my house to see what else can be flipped! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'll live you with a little Note Song ~
The Change
One hand
Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
By saving just this one
It's like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
This heart
Still believes
The love and mercy still exist
While all the hatred rage and so many say
That love is all but pointless in madness such as this
It's like trying to stop a fire
With the moisture from a kiss
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
As long as one heart still holds on
Then hope is never really gone
I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world we know
Never changes me
What I do is so
This world will know
That it will not change me
Reaches out
And pulls a lost soul from harm
While a thousand more go unspoken for
They say what good have you done
By saving just this one
It's like whispering a prayer
In the fury of a storm
And I hear them saying you'll never change things
And no matter what you do it's still the same thing
But it's not the world that I am changing
I do this so this world will know
That it will not change me
This heart

This world will know
That it will not change me
