Hello, Dear Ones! Well, I'm not doing too much at the moment. No big projects. Not even been using a can of spray paint! I guess I'm kinda resting. So I thought I'd show you a little bit of my spiffing in the dining room.
Now I put together this floral arrangement more years ago than I would want you to know. I continually think I'll take it apart. But some how I just never do. I love the artichoke and the persimmons. So here it sits again and will probably sit here again in the future! I can be kinda boring like that you know.
Oh, I almost forgot! Mr. Precious gave me these candle sticks for Christmas. They're very simple but can be used in so many upcoming vignettes. I love them too! Can you love very simple but pretty candlesticks? Well, you bet your dripping wax you can! :) Clever, aren't I? :)
You've seen this too...an olden hand painted tea service given to me by my mother so many years ago. I do love it! Look at the dogwood blossoms. Now you may ask, can you really love an olden hand painted teas service? Well, you bet your sugar cubes you can! :)
A little closeup of my little pretties.
I could offer you a cup of tea but these little cups are so little you'd take two sips and the tea would be gone!
These olden candlesticks were given to me by my aunt. She's in heaven now and I know she'd be so proud that I still use them from time to time.
Well, like I said, I'm just a piddlin' today. Not up to much. Don't have words of wisdom to leave with you ( I don't think I ever do!). Don't have a wow your tiny socks off project or even a tasty morsel to show you...just me a piddlin' in the dining room.
I'm joining Cozy Home Scenes for Your Cozy Home Party
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~ I heard President Obama sing a bit of this song and I can't get it out of my head. I do love this song...enjoy
Let's Stay Together
Whatever you want to do
Is alright with me
'Cause you make me feel, so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you
Me sayin' since, baby, since we've been together
Ooo, loving you forever
Is what I need
Let me, be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue
Ooo baby
Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad
Oooo oooo ooo ooo, yeah
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad
Why somebody, why people break up
Oh, and turn around and make up
I just can't seeeeeeeee
You'd never do that to me
(Would you baby)
'Cause being around you is all I see
It's why I want us to
Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad
Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether

ReplyDeleteShelia, a great big thank you for coming to my party to share your beautiful buffet vignette. I didn't want to be pushy but I hoped you would come. This is my first attempt at hosting a blog party so I am grateful for each attendee. This is the fourth week and I think it is going pretty well. Of course, I will never have the number of ladies that your famous parties have but I'm having fun meeting so many nice people who are so very talented. Present company accepted! Again, thanks and come whenever you can.

Your post made me smile. TY
Just found your blog. I've only just started my adventures in blogging and I'm learning as I go. I believe we have many things in common . . . and one is having a song in our hearts. Isn't music so uplifting. I seem to always have a song going through me, and it's been that way since I was a little girl, something that I inherited from my dad. Your new blogging friend, Connie
ReplyDeleteOh my! Just love, love, love all that transferware on the wall.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious little tea set, I have a set kind of like that.
ReplyDeleteI am catching up here, can't believe I missed so many of your wonderful posts!
Hugs, Cindy
