The House in the Roses for Show Off Your Cottage Monday,
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Light My Fire
You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah
You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire

Sheila my friend - you have been a very, very busy and creative lady this weekend. I LOVE IT! I love hanging a wreath in front of a mirror. And yours may be plain but it looks vintage and I love it. Mr Roo seems to be very happy indeed standing guard over your mantle. Its just beautiful! Hope you have a great week. Blessings, Barb
ReplyDeleteIt has definitely fallen! I haven't begun yet. Yours is quite striking though.
ReplyDeleteYou got me wanting to "Fall" too. The candle sticks and with the little punkins are a great idea.
ReplyDeleteStop by and say Hi sometime soon...
ciao
Your mantel has fallen, quite beautiful that is! Sure hope Mr. Roo does not eat all them berries!
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty the fallen mantel! I am still tweaking mine here and there. Yours looks perfect Sheila!
ReplyDeleteYou have fallen beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheilia *hugs*
ReplyDeleteOh my your temperature is still so high. It must be hard to think of fall when it feels like summer out there! Our temperatures are in the 70s today...very nice and breezy.
You have been having fun with your mantle making it so fallen. Love the colours and the roosters.
have a lovely day
Judi
Your mantle looks great Sheila, love the Roo! The humidity finally broke this afternoon-thankfully:@)
ReplyDeletelovely, lovely!! I love it when things fall like this in my house too! LOL! I love the color on the leaves of your beautiful vignette!
ReplyDeleteHugs, FABBY
Shelia my dear you answered my question! Before I started reading I was looking at the mantel and thinking she has went out and got all this new to decorate with...the reason I was thinking this is because mine always look awful when I take them out of storage. lol I started reading and got my answer. Mr Rooster can be proud being the first to set on the mantel...gives him that right. He does fit right in with all the fall colors....he is quite lovely. Trish
ReplyDeleteOh Sheila!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous!!!!! Now i must go down and start pulling out my tubs of fall goodies!! So hopefully soon ill be sharing too.
Be blesed,
Lorena
Looks like a picture right out of a magazine Shelia! I love it!! Martina
ReplyDeleteI remember that I started following your blog about this time last year when your house was getting that 'fallen' look. :-) I so enjoy your blog and your humour. Your mantle looks very nice. I have put a few things out but the trees aren't turning colour too much yet so I'll wait a week more before I put the fall leaves out. I don't want to rush the season even though it's already cool here at 65 degrees! Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteI'm never disappointed when I visit you, sugar!! How's that darling little granddaughter of yours? My GGD is growing like a weed. They grow so fast I can't keep up. Hope to skype with Miss Caroline tonight. Love that kid....
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Connie
Hi Shelia
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is so pretty! I love Mr. Rooster looking over everything. He blends in perfectly with all your fall colors! Susie

ReplyDeleteShelia
ReplyDeleteYour mantle is so bright,. It makes me ready for apple cider and a donut! Got any?
Mr. Rooster even looks dressed in his fall colors. I guess he's no dumby, if he wants to be on display he'd better dress accordingly!
Take care now-Kimberly
Your Fall mantle is beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty mantle Sheila! Love that pretty roo and the candle holders with the pumpkins. I need to remember that idea!
ReplyDeleteI have been decorating this weekend but still have a few spots to fill. Kristen
Hi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteYou are so good at this fallen stuff!
I love the mantel, what a beautiful job girlfriend!
Thanks for the inspiration to get me going!

Just beautiful, beautiful. I LOVE that rooster on the mantle. My N.C. place has a fireplace in the kitchen and it has lots of roosters on it. If I ever get up there to see them once again. Falls colors are so pretty. And I know what you mean about the air conditioners running high speed, it is so hot here too.
ReplyDeleteChris
The pumpkins on top of the candlesticks are the hit with me! Too cute. Your mantel is so pretty! I love your song choice for this post. :D
ReplyDeleteLove your fallen den Shelia! Sooo gorgeous! And the song is great... shot me back to the early 70's!!

Your colors of fall are just gorgeous! Love the wreath hanging in front of the mirror. It is hard to decorate for fall when the temperature is so high. Mr. Roo was just the crowning touch (or should that be crowing touch?)
