It's Almost Time!!

Hello, Dear Ones! Do y'all make home made ice cream? Well, we make it about 3 times during the hot summer months and it's so very good. If you'd like my recipe, you can click here.

Here you see my ice cream freezer decorated up to pieces because I didn't know where to put it! :)
So I poked it here on the floor in the breakfast room and filled it with some of my faux roses...

Then I took one of my little Rooster tea towels I made and poked it in there too! Pretty sweet, don't you think? Well, in about a month I will take my ice cream freezer and poke it in the cabinets in the garage. But until then I'll just enjoy it while it's sitting on the floor in the breakfast room and smile each time I pass. Well, I may just have to make one more freezer full of ice cream! :)

I'm so excited! The Heart of the Home - Roosters and Chickens Party is tomorrow! I'm so excited! Oh, I think I've said that already. Have you gathered your Roos and Chicks and snapped and made your post? I hope so!! I'm getting everything ready for you and will have the post up Monday night for you early birds! So, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease please come to my party! We all love our yard birds so much and will love to see yours!

Don't forget now, if you link up to my party you'll have two chances to win a little Rooster pillow and two little tea towels made by my dainty little fingers! :) I'll draw the two names on Friday!
Oh, the thrill and excitement!! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

  1. Now that is one creative way to disguise the ice cream maker.

  2. I adore your "fancied~up" (not sure this is a word, but I like the sound of it) ice~cream freezer! There you go again sewing another pretty towel creation, LOVE it!

I'm ready and waiting for the big party. So looking forward to seeing all the roosters & chickens!

  3. Yum, home made ice cream!!! Your ice cream maker looks very cute all decked out with the flowers and the chicken. Cute little pillows too.

  4. How cute is that?!!!
LOve you little love bucket full of roses!

  5. You truly know how to tuck & stuff & drape like no one else, Shelia. Just so clever.

    TTFN ~

  6. Shelia,
Your party is sure to be a HUGE success, dear...those Roosters, Hens and Chickens are popping up all over Blog Land! How cute to decorate your ice cream freezer. I have my MoMa's on the shelf in the lower level. Don't think it works any longer, but I couldn't bear to part with it. Oh how you do inspire me, dear one! See you soon!

  7. Shelia
I haven't had homemade ice cream in years. Yum!
The bucket looks cute decorated with your towel!

  8. That is the cutest decorated ice cream maker I have ever seen. Too, too cute!

  9. Aren't you the clever one!!!! The ice cream freezer looks wonderful all dressed up!!!! I will come to your party even though I can't participate, but am anxious to see everyone's chicks and hens:):) XO, Pinky

  10. Hello sweet Shelia,
I have my hen, she is settling into my kitchen nicely, then I will be photographing her.
    Hugs, Cindy

  11. You have the cutest ice cream maker around!
I love your creativity Sheila and your a great seemstress too!
I posted my rooster post early cause i will be packing for Arizona!
    Hugs friend,

  12. Oh my friend Shelia, that is such a cute way to dress your ice cream maker!, yeah I love home made ice cream too! I'd love to enter your Roo party, even though I only have 2 rooster plates and yes, yupiiii... I just remember what else!...Yezz!...I will enter you're party! Thanks for the invite and I love your give away, hope I'm lucky and thank you for the chance. Thank you for your visit and lovely comment...why should you be afraid of my adorable foos?! hahahaaa...FABBY

  13. Oh what a cute idea and can believe I have never ever had homemade ice cream!!! That's just not right!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment about my screened in sun-room that Susan featured today for her Metamorphosis Monday.
We've enjoyed our little room so much this summer minus the bugs and the baking sun! Plus I can go in and change it up every once in a while to suite my mood and or season!
    Thanks again,
    Terry at LA BELLA VIE

  14. Wow. You really "pimped" your ice cream maker!
Ice cream IS such a happy snack. Think about it. Have you ever been sad while eating ice ceam?

  15. You did so GOOD! :) Clever and gorgeous disguise. Now, any suggestions on hiding vacuums?

My hubby bought me a little countertop ice cream machine that takes 20 mins and no ice to make "just enough" for our six to have a serving--BAD,bad, bad! We should really ONLY have homemade ice cream two or three times a summer! lol.
    Lovin' the rooster towels!
    Happy Monday,

  16. Love your rooster tea towel, Shelia! It looks great with the flowers in that bucket!

  17. I'm excited about the party too and yes, my post is all ready! One thing I like about blog parties is meeting new friends! There are so many awesome blogs and awesome girls out there!

well look at you cutifying your ice cream maker!I've never owned one but I sure love home made ice cream! ♥

  18. Hi Shelia, good to see you! I think you should have done a contest for your Ice Cream Freezer in disguise. Posters could have guessed what it was! LOL.

No chix or roos here on Black Creek but we'll be there again for the kitchen party!

But meanwhile, you have me drooooooling for some homemade ice cream. Coffee brownie chunk to be exact. Big hugs to you. Jane F

  19. Yummy!! Haven't made homemade ice cream in "forever". Thank you for swinging in to see the Shop Make Over.. Just took a few pictures of the roosters around the house... trying my best to get it together to join your party!
:-)) I'm running away for the day with the grandson... hope to have more to share on the blog... hugs ~lynne~

  20. Shelia,
Oh my gosh, RED ROSES!! I love roosters in the kitchen. I have a couple in my kitchen. The roses and rooster in the icecream freezer is such a clever idea. I never get tired of seeing red roses. They make my heart sing! Have a beautiful week.

  21. What a wonderful idea of something to do with your ice cream maker. Mine's just stored out in the garage waiting to be used. There's nothing like homemade ice cream! I can't make it too often because I just eat and eat until I'm sick. I have no self control when it comes to ice cream - especially homemade! (I need some ice cream!!)

  22. Hi Shelia!
Thanks so much for the ice cream recipe, now I have no excuse for not making it. It's been years, but you have brought back so many good memories centered around the old fashioned freezer I grew up with. "Thanks for the Memories" (How's that for a note!) LOL

  23. You have such a pretty ice cream maker! You're so clever to decorate it like that! Looking forward to seeing your rooster/chick post!

  24. Amazingly we haven't made homemade ice cream once this summer. Need to remedy that! Great to have your post being a part of Seasonal Sundays.

  25. How clever to disguise your ice cream freezer that way. I just love ice cream but haven't ever made any....heard home made is the best!

I'm so pleased you would come to see me and so please leave me a comment and I'll do my very best to respond back to you. Be a sweetie...Shelia :)
