Again, I love you all and thank you so much for coming to my party! Yard birds reign! :)
*************************************
Speaking of yard birds, I took a little ride yesterday and visited one of my favorite thrift stores and there HE was! HE was staring at me and it was love at first sight.
And HE's so fine everywhere! Just look at that face! :)
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)
I'm joining Savvy Southern Style for Wow Us Wednesday,
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
He's So Fine
Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang
Do-lang, do-lang
He's so fine
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
Wish he were mine
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
That handsome boy over there
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
The one with the wavy hair
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
I don't know how, I'm gonna do it
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
But I'm gonna make him mine
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
He's the envy of all the girls
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
It's just a matter of time
(Do-lang, do-lang)
He's a soft spoken guy
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
Also seems kinda shy
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
Makes me wonder if I
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
Should even give him a try
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
But then I know he can't shy
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
He can't shy away forever
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
And I'm gonna make him mine
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
If it takes me forever
(Do-lang, do-lang)
He's so fine
(Oh yeah)
Gotta be mine
(Oh yeah)
Sooner or later
(Oh yeah)
I hope it's not later
(Oh yeah)
We gotta get together
(Oh yeah)
The sooner the better
(Oh yeah)
I just can't wait, I just can't wait
To be held in his arms
If I were a queen
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
And he asked me to leave my throne
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
I'll do anything that he asked
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
Anything to make him my own
(Do-lang, do-lang, do-lang)
For he's so fine
(So fine)
So fine
(So fine)
He's so fine
(So fine)
So fine
(So fine)
He's so fine
(So fine)
Oh yeah

Hi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteHe is perfect for your table and he looks very nice there. Love your pretty photos. Thanks for linking it up to Home Sweet Home!
Sherry
Shelia, love your new roo and your pretty table vignette. I've been so out of the loop in Blogville that I just found out about the party! Thanks for extending the time to link up. Hope it's okay that I copied an old post to link. laurie
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute. Loved the addition of the song. :0 Your rooster is a real score. I have always wanted to collect them but my mom and daughter aren't on board with the whole rooster thing. What do they know, right? He's fabulous and I would have bought him too. He looks right at home in your sophisticated country vignette.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by I reaffirming my decision to paint my little oak piece raspberry pink. Your kind words bolstered me up.
Pam
That's what you get for having a "party" and inviting them all over to your house!! He's a handsome dude! thanks for linking up with VIF,
ReplyDeletexoxo Debra

ReplyDeleteHe deserves that wonderful place on your table
where he can be seen and appreciated.
He looks so proud and strong ♥

ReplyDeleteHi Sheila, Excuse the ... post above. I had written a comment and it said I was not authorized to use my acct. or something like that. So I was testing it out. Anyways, it's working now. Thanks for your nice comments on the arrangements and frames. I am so glad I am feeling creative again. This summer I have just had the blahs! I know alot of it is the heat. The weather has always affected my moods! I'm excited for the fall months ahead and am feeling back to my old self again! Sorry I missed out on the rooster party. Since I have been out of touch I missed out on alot of good stuff! Count me in on your next party for sure! Have a great day! Kristen
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, just wanted to say how much fun this was. Thanks for being the hostess!!!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL vignette Shelia! He's a handsome little devil! Martina
ReplyDeleteNow that is one handsome, hunky Rooster! What a beauty!
ReplyDeleteAND I MISSED YOUR ROOSTER PARTY!
As Lucy Ricardo would say, "Waaaaaaahhhh!!!!!"
You really do have the BEST collection of roosters and chicks I've ever seen -- they are gorgeous!
And I love that you used "he's so fine" -- reminds me of an old college boyfriend.... (don't tell hubby!)
Hahaha -- have a great weekend, my friend!
Cass
So cute Shelia~ your rooster is a charmer for sure!! Thanks for sharing at Feathered Nest Friday! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I don't know you, but we must be kindred spirits. Somehow, I got to your blog -- your favorite cupboard party -- and I just loved your pantry. Well, I just have to share this...yesterday on lunchhour, (I'm a Goodwill regular on my lunchhour) I was browsing the books. I picked up a "projects you can build", was thumbing through it, and there it was, "your" pantry. The "project picture" shelves appear to be less wide than yours, but basically it's the same concept. I still had my finger holding the page as I checked out! Thank you for sharing your favorite cupboard.
