Did you know you can spell mantle two ways? Yes, ma'am you can! Either mantle or mantel is correct. I always choose to use the spelling ~ 'mantle'. I thought you might want to know that! :)
Okay, enough of my book smarts :) and on with the show!
If you'd like you can read about my making it, you can go HERE.
I had a tea here at my house last month
and tied little ribbons between the poofs and they're still tied tight!
my little sunny starfish is always in view somewhere.
Peek a boo ~ we see you! :) I'm such a silly.
and popped them up on up the mantle.
Here's the right side...birdie, plate and cups.

Can you love little sunny white breezy birds?
Why, you bet your little sunny tweetie tweet tweets you can! :)
Hope you like it and have lots of sunnyness going on at your home.
Uh oh...I see I still have some Easter bunnies sitting on the hearth!
I'd better hop to it and put them away! :)
Shoot! No no Nannette! I'm going to enjoy the sunshine today!

Here Comes the Sun
Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

It's been a long, cold, lonely winter

It feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright
Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darling
I see the ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and i say,
It's alright

Love your mantle (mantal)! I just acquired an old worn out book of Shakespeare at GW - JUST to make that wreath! I thought perhaps it might lend an air of Old England to my cottage! Actually, my daughter will help make it since I would like it done sooner rather than waaaaay later!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so nice Sheila. Love the urns!
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile, Shelia. I love your sweet wittiness and your poetry. The mantle looks so lovely. I would be calling that china collection "Happy Dishes." I started using that term when I started collecting Fiesta Ware, & now several of my friends use it as well. The wreath is so pretty and I've already bookmarked it for later.

ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, I just stopped by to wish you a happy weekend. Cheri' looks so cute since she was groomed. I should share a photo but I have no time to play. We are busy getting ready to go to Maine for the month of June. We leave on Weds. in our Fifth Wheel. I will have my computer with me so if the service is good I will share our Maine adventures.
