Pork Loin

Hello Dear Ones! That old Blogger was a booger yesterday, wasn't it? I tried so hard to comment on your blogs but Blogger would let me. Whew! I'm glad it's fixed. I may be a tad late getting to you, but I'll do my very best to respond to your comments. I really do try.

Okay, enough of that! I wanted to join our Dear Michael Lee at Designs by Gollum for Foodie Friday!

This is one of our favorite dishes ~ pork tenderloin. This bakes up so tender and juicy and is so flavorful. I hope you'll try it.

Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin

1 (4 lb) boneless pork loin, with fat left on
1 tbs. salt
2 tbs. olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried rosemary

Preheat oven to 475'. Place loin on rack in roasting pan. combine the remaining ingredients in small bowl. With your fingers massage mixture onto loin, covering all the meat and fat.

Roast for 30 minutes, then reduce heat to 425' and roast for an additional hour. Allow to sit for 20 minutes before carving. It will continue to cook while it rests.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Food Glorious Food

Is it worth the waiting for,
If we live till eighty-four
All we ever get is gruel,
Every day we say our prayers
Will they change the bill of fair?
Still we get the same old gruel
There's not a crust not a crumb
Can we find can we beg can we borrow or cadge,
But there's nothing to stop us from getting a thrill,
When we all close our eyes and imagine,

Food glorious food
Hot sausage and mustard
While we're in the mood cold jelly and custard
Pease pudding and saveloys
What next is the question?
Rich gentlemen have it boys

Food glorious food
What is there more handsome
Gulped swallowed or chewed
Still worth a kings ransom
What is it we dream about?
What brings on a sigh?
Piled peaches and cream about six feet high

Food glorious food
Were anxious to try it
3 banquets a day
Our favourite diet
Just picture a great big steak fried,
roasted or chewed

For food marvelous food
wonderful food magical food
fabulous food beautiful food
