Hello, Dear Ones! I'm so glad to have all the Christmasings put away now and am trying to get back to a little more simpleness. My home looks a little empty without the Christmas tree which we always place right there where the little table and lamp are.
I'm so thrilled in fact, I'm going to sing you my version of 'O Christmas Tree'. Ready?
Ahem, cough, clearing tiny throat...hummmmmm...

No Christmas tree, no Christmas tree
I do not miss your branches

You sprayed your glitter everywhere
floor, carpet and it's in my hair

No Christmas tree, No Christmas tree
I do not miss your branches

No Christmas tree, no Christmas tree
You are the tree that's put up
Your lights that were just shining bright
Are wrapped in boxes, taped so tight

No Christmas tree, no Christmas tree
I'll get on with my life now!!
...uh oh!!

Shoot!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I left you a little Note Song~
Great song! Feeling much the same way.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
Lovin' your song Sheila! Don't ya just hate it when you turn around and find something you forgot to put away! That one usually ends up getting tossed on top of the boxes to fend for itself:@)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love it. I have put all my tinsle away as well and do not miss it a bit.
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
Gwenny
Lookin' good, Shelia!
ReplyDeleteThere is one more tree left, at home. I'll get to that, next week. We've enjoyed this time away at the lake and actually got some things done here and other projects started.
I miss my tree, too Sheila :( I guess that makes us so happy to have it up again after the long wait till next year :)
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate it when you forget to pack something away! I think & hope I have everything packed now (except that nasty, lingering glitter). Have a great weekend. Sally

Very cute and somehow that always happens...one thing gets left out and it then put away and impossible to find when you need it next year! Beautiful entry, very elegant!
ReplyDeleteOh I love having it all packed away also. Love having the house feel tons bigger. Love your song, too cute. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I could hear each word in that song perfectly. You have a beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteSherry
You crazy FUN girl! :) (Have I called you crazy before? You know I do so very lovingly!)
ReplyDeleteThat was just too cute and so true! I continue to find things left out. Looks like Mr. Brown Socks will have to make at least one more trip up to the attic!
~Donna
Now that was a toe tappin' little ditty.
ReplyDeleteYou are a hoot, how is your back after luggin' all that up to the attic?
Ahem... tap tap tap... clear throat... la la... clear throat...
"Oh aching back my aching back... I think I need a chiropractor.... la la.. la la la... la.....
Your place is so pretty and magazine ready for its close up...
LOL! Loved this, Shelia!
ReplyDeleteHere's my song:
Oh, hacking cough, oh, hacking cough...
I long for you to stop now...
Oh, hacking cough, oh, hacking cough...
All I do is hop now...
I hop to grab a tissue true...
I hop to grab the Nyquil, too...
Oh, hacking cough, oh, hacking cough...
It's time I want you to be whacked now.
XO,
Sheila :-)

Hi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteYour song is wonderful!!! And, your home is beautiful! I think this is the first time I have been here, I see your lovely face and comments everywhere, though. You have a lot of friends and I can see why. Every one likes to be called "dear ones". I know I do, I enjoy your sweetness.
Hugs, Cindy
That is too funny! And your last picture made me laugh! I call those our strays!I have a pile on my entry table right now waiting to be taken upstairs and put away! Can't be in too big a hurry...I'm sure I'll find another one!
ReplyDeleteI have collected mine on the dining room table. Okay, inspired now. I wanted to sort them so I'm glad I saw that you do, too.
ReplyDeleteLove your new header! Now off to find boxes, and there should be many here, for my newly organized Christmas decorations.
LOL! I am glad I am not the only one that ALWAYS - and I mean ALWAYS finds something I forget. You just get so used to seeing it all for so long, that it begins to just blend together!
ReplyDeleteThis was an adorable post! You are just too clever!
I will pass around hugs to all from you next week in AZ!
Have a great weekend! Hugs! Karen

Very cute! I could just here the emphasis in that "Shoot!" haha! You have such a beautiful foyer and entry way outside. I've never seen the outside and only glimpses of your foyer! They are both stunning! I hope you'll come over and follow me on the new blog now. I always enjoy hearing from you.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI am going to have this song in my head the rest of the day, thank you!!! LOL!
I'm glad to put it all away too. I really enjoy it but I also love to tuck it all away to next time!

Shelia, I finally got my trees taken down and all the ornaments are now packed away. Just need to get the tree box back upstairs to the storage closet. That will be tomorrow when I can have a little help. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful foyer!
It was all good while it lasted and before you know it you'll be putting the old christmas tree back up again....I hope we are all still here to see it. Take Care Trish
ReplyDeleteShelia, you are so funny! What a cute song! The funny thing is that we keep doing this over and over each year. It's kind of like childbirth....you forget the pain...hee hee hee. Oh, I've been meaning to tell you - I really do like your new blog header - beautiful! Linda
ReplyDeleteI think it looks beautiful and clean. I am glad that the tree is gone:) The house feels normal again.
ReplyDeleteYou silly thing girl...I love ya..Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteHey there Shelia ~
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you! What a great little song....it just goes to prove that you are the lead SWEETIE!
You make me smile!
Much Love,
Ramona
Shelia, I just love that song! Some glitter got on my hair, too! lol Happy New Year, dear one and we, too are still taking down decor and organizing all boxes as we dumped our paid storage just last week. You have a beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteLovely little ditty. I am still working to put away my tiny amount. :)
ReplyDeleteCute! And there seems like there's always at least one escapee!
ReplyDeleteShelia,
ReplyDeleteI love the words to the song, especially sung in your lovely voice!
I think it is a requirement to work hard getting it all put away and then find a least one thing you missed. Or 4 or 5.
Great song! My tree is down as of today and it feels so de-cluttered! If I had known your song, I'd have been humming along. lol I'm like you though - I always spy something that forgot to get packed or 1 ornament left (never fails) taking the tree down. Oops!
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile.
Have a great week!
Love your song, super cute!
