I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Shake, Rattle and Roll
Get out from that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Get out from that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans
Well, roll my breakfast 'cause I'm a hungry man
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
I said Shake, rattle and roll
Well, you never do nothin' to save your doggone soul
Wearin' those dresses, your hair done up so nice
Wearin' those dresses, your hair done up so nice
You look so warm, but your heart is cold as ice
I'm like a one-eyed cat, peepin' in a sea-food store
I'm like a one-eyed cat, peepin' in a sea-food store
I can look at you, tell you don't love me no more
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
I believe you're doin' me wrong and now I know
The more I work, the faster my money goes

ReplyDeleteHi sweet lady...
ReplyDeleteI just read your sweet note and came right over, Sheila! Loved your visit...and loved your sweet note! You give me the "big head" with all those generous compliments! Sure did make my heart smile though...thank you, Darlin'!!!
Girlfriend, I also appreciate the personal invite to join in with your fabulous kitchen party. Honey, my kitchen is...well, how do I put this...just a little bit out dated and I'm waiting for a remodel! I have the vintage, metal 50's cabinets still! Anyway, it's not very interesting. That's why I was sooo excited for you when you got to remodel your kitchen...gave me hope that some day my little kitchen might get a makeover as well!
Well sweet lady, let's talk about your fabulous kitchen! I love all the changes that you've made! Ohhhh...your granite countertops are simply gorgeous!!! And...I love the pistachio green paint that you used on your island...that's such a pretty color!!! Ohhhh...and while you didn't show any photos of them here at your party...I still remember those fabulous curtains in your kitchen! You are such a creative and talented lady, Ms.Sheila! And...the perfect hostess! I always love coming to your place...it's so warm and inviting! Girl, you really did spoil us with all the beautiful tea stations that you fixed for your party! Love, love, LOVE your pretty teapots! You know, I have one very similar to your white set with the raised roses on it! I'm sure you've seen it at my place. But...I don't have the sugar of creamer. Wherever did you find yours? Ohhh...I just adore this tea set!!! It really is exquisite and so delicate looking!!! Love your pretty scalloped tea cloth too! Girlfriend, how did you know that Snickerdoodles are my favorite "all time" cookie? Seriously! Hehe! I'm so bad, I pick up a package from the bakery at Walmart nearly every week while shopping. Ohhh, and I'm sure that they aren't as yummy as yours!!! Ohhh...and I just love that pretty little beehive with the honey piece! Gorgeous!!!
Well sweet lady, thank you sooo much for hosting such a fabulous party! I have already been around to some of the beautiful kitchens already! Ahhh...seriously, you ladies give me hope that someday, I too, might have my dream kitchen. Until then, I'll enjoy yours! wink!
Warmest autumn wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Shelia! What a wonderful response you've had to your kitchen party! You're such a wonderful hostess, and your kitchen exudes warmth and charm. I had really hoped to participate, but I never quite seem to find time to do half the things I want to do. Thank you for hosting this fun event. I'm really enjoying peeking into the hearts of the homes of some of my favorite bloggers!
ReplyDeleteWarmest regards,
Bill
Hi Shelia
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to visit kitchens!
I did not get my little lake kitchen photographed in time for the event. For some reason, this time at the lake, I have really been in lazy mode. Sleeping much better than I have in months, enjoying our drives and having wonderful do nothing days, has me in such a relaxed mode, I've just sort of thrown together posts this week without much thought!
G'kiddos and their parents arriving tomorrow. This has been one fantabulous getaway.
It will take me awhile to visit all these lovely kitchens...yours included.
Happy Weekend!
HI Shelia! Thank you for hosting such a wonderful party! Your kitchen is just beautiful too!! I love that soft apple green on your cabinets , oh my!!! Love it! I am just getting around to visiting everyone today, I posted mine and then it became a busy week, but it's so much fun this morning coffee in hand making my rounds! It's a little peek into everyone's space and heart, how nice to share my coffee with a so many warm inviting girls!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, you did a beautiful job sweetie!
Hugs, Cynthia xo

Ciao, Serena.
Wow!!! What a trail ya have beaten through your kitchen, which is beautifully inviting I might say. Some of these kitchens are just magnificent and yours ranks right up there with the best of the best!
ReplyDeleteYa'll have a marvelously blessed weekend, ya hear.
I've been absent for awhile. Went to Tx. my Daddy lost his three decade battle with leukemia.
Shelia, you are the perfect hostess, and how I wish that in real life, I could sit with you in your pretty kitchen and visit and laugh and cut up over those delicious treats!
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen BTW, and I had every intention of sharing mine, but I thought the party was NEXT WEEK! How I got confused I do not know, but I thought all week long that I could work on getting ready over this weekend and then do it. I am SO sorry. I had put it on my sidebar, but I got it into my head that it was next week. Sigh. I ran over my air card minutes (I was at our St. A. place), and I haven't been online. I came on, and I was trying to frantically play catch up visiting when I saw that your party was THIS Wednesday!
I hope you will forgive me, dear one, but you had such a fabulous turnout that I don't think I was missed. I will have to drop by and visit some of your other participants.
Love you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sheila! I'm going to be late, but thanks for saving me a cookie and I see that I still have a few more days! YAY! I WILL do it! I didn't have DSL yesterday, it was raining, same here today, and I still want to take pics looking out my kitchen window (without the rain!). So I am still planning to "attend." But WOW, you had 100 participants!!!!!!! Congratulations! You must feel so great. But you are such a lovely person, would you have expected anything less? :)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
P.S. I am going to tell Mrs. Magpie to join -- she can be late like me!!

ReplyDeleteYour goodies look scrumptious and your dishes are so pretty.
Thank you so much for coming by my kitchen and leaving me such gracious and kind comments. And thanks for following me, I'm following you back. Can't wait to get to know you better.
Sorry, I am late, Shelia but as you know, my mom had a terrible accident and I had to tend to her. Your kitchen is beautiful. I like your choice of color on the granite, it's bright. Love the tea set and what a wonderful hostess are you....Christine
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble with blogger when I click to follow a blog. It will not put my picture up :( it keeps asking me to chose a picture and when I do, it says it's too big a file or that it is not a valid picture????
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else been having this problem?
shelia I don't want to be a faceless follower, I'm putting you on my blog roll until I can figure this out.
Oh Sheila... Your kitchen is as cute as can be. I'm so sorry to have missed the party. I hope you'll have another one somewhere down the line. We were out of town and I totally forgot to schedule a post....

*sigh* What a LOVELY kitchen! I am going to try to visit all of them over the next few days, maybe I can get some ideas for my kitchen, which is in desperate need of a face lift!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the white tea set with the white flowers ... how beautiful!
Hopefully next year I'll be able to join the party!
Have a lovely weekend Shelia!
Shelia:
ReplyDeleteYou have a great kitchen and I just wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed your meme. Unfortunately time didn't permit me to join in - but I am so enjoying visiting all of the participants.

I may be last, but I still have to say: THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME JOIN YOUR FIRST HEART OF THE HOME PARTY!! You MUST do this again! You can see what a HIT it was, Sheila! And may I say that your kitchen looks so wonderful. You know my favorite thing in your post? Your little bumblebee honey pot! Oh, I LOVE it! Sheila, you truly have a gorgeous kitchen.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
P.S. Thanks for keeping your 'Party' open so long so that I can join. I was last, but I am going with the "The last shall be first, and the first shall be last." (But I think our dear Lord is saying, "Oh, Gloria, you are such a silly fool!" :)
I did miss this and am soooo thankful you left this up! I have had so much fun Sweet Friend~
