I found the green vase a few years ago at a thrift store and had to have it. The green vase makes its appearance each fall. I've placed all kinds of Fallen faux flowers in it. I know some of you don't like faux flowers but they have places of honor in my home! You know what I say - I love my Fallen fauxs and my Fallen fauxs love me! :) I actually have plastic tubs filled with my darling fauxs and I use them over and over again.

Heart of the Home Party

It's almost a month away so you'll have time to wash the dishes,
feed the cats and dogs,
take the trash out
and
sweep and mop the floor!
Just click on my little party button
and it will take you to the info you need to know!

I would love it if you would take the little party button above that I made with my most dainty little tiny fingers and place it on your sidebar and advertise for me showing that you're coming to my party.

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
September Morn
Stay for just a while
Stay, and let me look at you
It's been so long, I hardly knew you
Standing in the door
Stay with me a while
I only want to talk to you
We've traveled halfway 'round the world
To find ourselves again
September morn
We danced until the night became a brand new day
Two lovers playing scenes from some romantic play
September morning still can make me feel that way
Look at what you've done
Why, you've become a grown-up girl
I still can hear you cryin'
In the corner of your room
And look how far we've come
So far from where we used to be
But not so far that we've forgotten
How it was before
September morn
Do you remember how we danced that night away
Two lovers playing scenes from some romantic play
September morning still can make me feel that way

Your fallen mantle looks great. I love the way you incorporated your beloved starfish in this fall vignette.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day! La
Oh, I LOVE faux flowers!.. The only problem is that my cat (Tuffy) loves them too! I'm presently in the process of training (or should I say RE-training) him to leave them alone!.. I have finally begun to "fall" myself around here, having just dragged out my first box of Autumn decor from storage! It will be a very gradual process, but I enjoy it, and we'll see what I can get done!.. Have a great day! ~tina

ReplyDeleteHi dear Shelia, I have begun to Fall too. My mantel is looking so cute but mine is all about Halloween. That is part of fall right? As soon as Halloween is over I will fall again. It will be elegant and beautiful. At least I hope it will. Smile. Your mantel is so pretty and speaks of the season I love the best. I think your loved faux flowers are lovely. They look totally real in your photo. The platter is perfect with the lovely candles. I too love your thrifty green vase. The pumpkins set the mood for the festive fallen feeling. Good job decorating as always.
ReplyDeleteI am joining you on the kitchen party. I will try to put your button on my side bar. Beverly has to help me. I will see her this weekend. We are going to visit our son and she lives 1/2 hour away. I am so excited. I am taking my computer so I will ask her to help me. I can learn how to do it. Hooray!!!
Happy Fall,
Love, Jeanne

Forgive this olden memory but do you collect those little dog statues from England..Staffo....oh, I don't remember the name...Anyway, there is a blogger here somewhere that collects them ..and my daughter is going to put a pair up on Ebay soon. I wanted you to have a chance at them first. If it is you, I can send you a photo of them...if it ISN'T you, do you have any idea who does collect them?
Thank you, dearie....
