Living Room

Hello, Dear Ones and welcome to my living room. The wall color is the same soft green as the dining room. I feel this room in my home is the least finished. Love my sofa, love my olden winged back chairs but I have a problem ~ they just don't go together. Well, one day I'll recover or slipcover the winged backs but for now it is what it is! :)

Again the window coverings are the same as in the dining room. I made these and just put different trim on them.

Here's another view of the living room with the artwork I presently have over the sofa.

Tabletops are always changing.

The piano ~ my gift! I love my piano and this is where I play my little Note Songs for you.

Always the prettiest at Christmas time.

  1. Hey, sweetpea, I've been through all four of you posts about your home and I looooove your kitchen. Mine is sooooo not conducive to 2 people cooking but I ain't changin' it because I ain't cookin' any more than I have to. ;-) But have you ever thought of making a "cabinet" for the microwave to get it up off the counter? We did that one and loved the extra space it gave us, sugar.

  2. I think the piano is the focal point of your room most definitely!! Everyone admires someone who can play a little music! I think your living room is very pretty, especially your sofa. Very pretty. With your sewing skills, I am surprised you haven't slip covered the wing back chairs yet. Another quick change I have been doing is changing out my lamp shades. It makes a world of difference and drum shades are so very popular now.

    Happy Wednesday, dear heart.

  3. Shelia, I think your living room is lovely! And your piano is lust-worthy! I would love to have a grand piano, but I play so miserably that I think it would be a bit of a waste. I did take lessons, though, when I was young. I play better by ear, though, because I can't remember how to read music. Sad, isn't it? I'm glad that one of the Sheladies is super talented that way, that being YOU! :-)

I can't believe you made your curtains, and you did a fab job on them, Shelia! Slipcovers are wonderful IMO. I have them on some chairs, and I can't tell that they're slipcovers. My lady is that good. I need to do some, too, for a pair of chippdendale style loveseats I have had for 30 years (have I even been alive that long???), but I keep procrastinating. LOL! I'd rather buy dishes. ;-)

    Hugs to you, Mrs. Precious!

    Sheila :-)

  4. Oh, I am lovin the tours Sheila~

  5. Your home is stunning. I love the colors and everything is so perfectly decorated. Just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
