So my Mr. Precious had a brilliant idea. Instead of getting on a plane in Reno and bopping here and bopping there and changing planes over there - we flew from Reno to Las Vegas and spent the night! Brilliant? Yes! This way we could just fly from Las Vegas straight to Houston the next day. That's exactly what we did.

Hugo's has an "old school" atmosphere, very romantic, dark and cozy. The food was fantastic! They make your salad the way you want it with all the fixin's at tableside and at the finish of our meal, we were given little chocolate covered fruits! I was very pleased. If you get the chance to eat here the restaurant is located in the 'cellar' of The Four Queens.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Viva Las Vegas
Bright light city gonna set my soul
Gonna set my soul on fire
Got a whole lot of money that's ready to burn,
So get those stakes up higher
There's a thousand pretty women waitin' out there
And they're all livin' devil may care
And I'm just the devil with love to spare
Viva Las Vegas, viva Las Vegas
How I wish that there were more
Than the twenty-four hours in the day
cause even if there were forty more
I wouldn't sleep a minute away
Oh, there's black jack and poker and the roulette wheel
A fortune won and lost on ev'ry deal
All you needs a strong heart and a nerve of steel
Viva Las Vegas, viva Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas with you neon flashin'
And your one armbandits crashin'
All those hopes down the drain
Viva Las Vegas turnin' day into nighttime
Turnin' night into daytime
If you see it once
You'll never be the same again
I'm gonna keep on the run
I'm gonna have me some fun
If it costs me my very last dime
If I wind up broke up well
Ill always remember that I had a swingin' time
I'm gonna give it ev'rything Ive got
Lady luck please let the dice stay hot
Let me shout a seven with ev'ry shot
Viva Las Vegas, viva Las Vegas,
Viva, viva Las Vegas

Hi Shelia
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip you had to Vegas. We have stayed at the Monte Carlo too and love it. YOur pictures are wonderful. Thats the thing about Vegas you don't have to gamble because there is so much to do there. And I do love to people watch also.
Love the downtown strip also...fun.
I hope your day today is fun too
Judi
Shelia, you are living the life right now with all of your trips. Nice hotels, good food, shows...you'll be bored at home. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love it when a plan comes together!
Sounds like you made the right choice and got to have a night of fun on the town.
Beautiful pictures.
Hey,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know the reason I haven't come to sign up as a follower is that I couldn't. It shows your name-Sheila. There is no box or picture and there isn't a blog, nothing to be able to click to take me to your blog. I think it must have something to do with how you set up your account. I had to add my picture to 2 different places on my account-just thought you might want to check it out so more people can click on you.
Cheri

What a great idea to stop over in Vegas! Certainly much better than plane hopping and sitting in airports all day. I will have to remember this the next time I fly!
ReplyDeleteOh Sheila, I love to read your blogs. I am a senior citizen and don't know how to do anything but lurk around - just wanted you to know that I always try to find you. Your sense of humor and beautiful pictures are great. Just wanted to let you know that you make a lot of people happy!!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great trip. I love the fantastic mosaic you put together. Are you going to frame it? Thanks for sharing all your wonderful pictures. We do not gamble so places like that are not on my wish list but that may have to change now. Thanks for explaining what other things there are to do there. I think I want to go now.

Hi Sheila, we love Las Vegas too and we don't gamble either. We love the shows. My girlfriend lived there and was a poker dealer in the Mirage. Once I spent a few days with her and had so much fun. It looks like you did too. I LOVE your photos. Viva Las Vegas!!!
