I was looking through some of the pictures in my olden cookbooks. I have some old ones and got to thinking about the 1960s! Well, being the dishaholic that I am, I had found some cool little dishes that reminded me of that time so I've tried to put together a groovy little outta sight tablescape for you!
Okay, gang, check it out...
Shoot! Bummer!
Be a bunch of cool cats and chicks,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song~
Good Vibrations
I, I love the colorful clothes she wears
And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair
I hear the sound of a gentle word
On the wind that lifts her perfume through the air
Im pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
(oom bop bop good vibrations)
She's giving me excitations
(oom bop bop excitations)
Good good good good vibrations
Close my eyes
She's somehow closer now
Softly smile, I know she must be kind
When I look in her eyes
She goes with me to a blossom world
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
She's giving me excitations
I'm pickin' up good vibrations
(oom bop bop good vibrations)
She's giving me excitations
(oom bop bop excitations)
Good good good good vibrations
(ahhhhhhh)
(ah my my what elation)
I don't know where but she sends me there
(ah my my what a sensation)
(ah my my what elations)
(ah my my what)
Gotta keep those lovin' good vibrations
A happenin' with her
Gotta keep those lovin' good vibrations
A happenin' with her
Gotta keep those lovi'n good vibrations
A happenin'

Oh, Shelia! Now, if I can just stop giggling long enough to comment! Ha! LOVE this tablescape, and your hilarious groovy commentary! I love that you used *happy* colors this week...with spring almost here, I think we are all craving happy colors, right?!
ReplyDeleteYour blue glasses and colorful dishes and flatware are great, and I'm also loving the green retro vase. Your faux flowers are just fine and dandy too. You know, I've found that faux flowers don't tend to look quite so faux in photos as they do in real life, so you're good! :-) This was super fun, as ALWAYS, Shelia, and I have to say again, that little rooster is the cutest rascal...love him!
Ohhhhhh, I love it! I absolutely love it. And the silverware...my hubby just tried to get me to buy it the other day....guess I better go back!
ReplyDeleteWhat a COOL CAT you are today Shelia.
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you get that first photo? you must have been on a ladder..oh i hope not. I would hate to have a "scraping" accident.
