Be sweeties,
Shelia ;)
Here's a little Note Song for you ~
Stormy Weather
Dont know why theres no sun up in the sky
Stormy weather
Since my man and I aint together,
Keeps rainin all the time
Life is bare, gloom and misry everywhere
Stormy weather
Just cant get my poorself together,
Im weary all the time
So weary all the time
When he went away the blues walked in and met me.
If he stays away old rockin chair will get me.
All I do is pray the lord above will let me walk in the sun once more.
Cant go on, evry thing I had is gone
Stormy weather
Since my man and I aint together,
Keeps rainin all the time
~sung by Billie Holiday

And, I love the new look of your blog!

LEAVE....it sounds like it will hit between Galveston and Corpus. My parents are watching and waiting too. I have told them to leave before it ends up in chaos and you can't get out of there.
ReplyDeleteShelia, if you need a road trip (about a 7 hour drive without traffic), you could always come visit us here in Oklahoma!!! An invitation is extended...we have a nice 32 foot travel trailer you could stay in (your own private space)...so just like home!!
You and everyone that may be impacted are in my prayers. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteI've been praying and will continue to pray that God will protect you and yours.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, our church prayed Sunday!
I love that song, though!
I'm praying for you that you make the right decision whether to stay or go, and that whatever decision you make, that God will keep you safe.
ReplyDeleteGive Chloe Dawn a big hug, she's such a sweetie pie! Her sweet little face does look worried!

Hi Miss Shelia! I know what you are going through right now... The not knowing is enough to drive you crazy on it's own. Im glad to hear that you are watching and are ready for this thing. I have friends and family all over your great state. Please know that my doors are open here if you need a place. I will be praying for you and many others often throughout the days to come. If there is ANYTHING.... I can do please let me know.. I think Chloe Dawn needs some extra hugs too. My Drake knew something was up during the storm. He loved going for a car ride but he knew something was just not right.... (((hugs)))

ReplyDeleteYes, I'm sure Chloe Dawn senses something is wrong. Poor little girl.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a terrible decision whether to stay or go. I'll be adding my prayers to those asking for guidance for you. I'll certainly be thinking (and worrying) about you and Mr. Precious. Be safe, my friend!

ReplyDeleteOops sorry, I spelled your name incorrectly SHELIA.
ReplyDeleteJust adding my prayers to all the others who love and care about you, Mr. Precious & Chloe Dawn..

Dear Shelia, I'm so worried about you! I've heard that your mayor has initiated a mandatory evacuation order for certain parts of Houston and all of Galveston. I'm praying earnestly for you and your family, and all our Houston neighbors. I live in Dallas, TX and we have already begun receiving evacuees from the Houston/Galveston area--a military plane landed this morning at our main airport carrying critical care patients from the Corpus Christi area hospitals. Be safe, and know you are in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh Sheila..make sure you stay safe and get out when you are meant to get out. We are all thinking about you and wishing you all the best. Hug that little Chloe too.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you. *hugs*
Judi
Dear Shelia -
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for you and your safety. And your peace of mind! I'll be anxious to hear from you soon and know that God held you safe in His arms. I can't help but think of the words of the old song. . . 'Keep me safe till the storm passes by.' May you and yours be safe and may the storm pass by soon without touching or harming you!
~Adrienne~
Awwww! I hope you and your home and of course the dog will be alright! The internet would be a bit more boring if dear Note Song Sheila was not around!

ReplyDeleteHi Sheila
ReplyDeleteIt was good to see that you were able to leave a post. I was quite certain you wouldn't be sticking around to wait for Ike and I was relieved to hear you had indeed left. We'd been watching the weather and hoping everyone would be safe.
Hopefully there hasn't been any damage to your home and that you will be back soon. Thinking about you.
