Tea Party with Jan/Blue Monday with Sally

Hi, and welcome to another Tea Party with Jan at
I thought I would show you a Christmas Tea I hosted for the ladies of my church. That year I prepared all of the food and goodies and of course the tea.

I'm also combining Blue Monday that is hosted by Sally at because I'm showing so blue in my tea party!!
Here is the tea table filled with the goodies to eat!

Little finger sandwiches! Of course some are cucumber!

Can you see the centerpiece? It's a raised tea pot with baby's breath, little strings of pearls and candles.

I just love to play!

This is a very delicious creamy salmon spread sitting in one of my crystal bowls.

Dear Ones, I had a request for this recipe, so I thought I would share it with you:

Smoked Salmon Cracker Spread

3 (8 oz) Cream Cheese, Softened 1 tsp. salt

3 Tbs. Lemon Juice 2 tsp finely chopped onion - or more

3 tsp Liquid Smoke 3 tsp Prepared Horse-Radish

1 (12 oz) can of Salmon, drained and flaked (I don't use the entire can, maybe only half ~ but if you really like a strong taste of Salmon, use the entire can)

Chopped Pecans and Fresh Parsley for garnish Crackers

In a small bowl, beat cream cheese at medium speed, scraping bowl often until light and fluffy ~ 2 -3 minutes. By hand, stir in salmon and the rest of the ingredients. Spoon into serving bowl, garnish with pecans and parsley. Serve with crackers. Store in fridge.

If you want to be creative you can mold this into different shapes using your hands. I've formed it into a fish shape before and a bell for Christmas. It is dense and will hold it's shape. I hope you enjoy it!

I always like to have something cold to drink also. So I made some pretty Christmasy red punch in the punch bowl given to me by my Aunt Alma!
Bunt cake with gum drops! I had a very hard time keeping Mr. Precious away from the gum drops!

I don't have a pretty and fancy tea server so my little coffee server works just fine.

In the den, I had all kinds of tea things set up! These pictures were made before we painted the old dark wood. Now here is some blue for Blue Monday with Sally!! I have collected for many years these blue and white Currier and Ives dishes. They make me happy and they're sweet at the same time. I've had them displayed for so many years and last spring I packed them up and put them away for a little while. Now I'm missing them and I may have to drag them back out!Happy Blue Monday! You can go see more participants at Sally's at

Remember, this is Christmas time and the mantle was all girly girl froo froo tea partiness!

I hope you've enjoyed coming to my Christmas Tea! I so enjoyed having you. Pop on over to Jan's to see more teaness!!

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I Only Have Eyes For You

My love must be a kind of blind love

I can't see anyone but you.

Are the stars out tonight?

I don't know if it's cloudy or bright

I Only Have Eyes For You, Dear.

The moon maybe high

but I can't see a thing in the sky,

'Cause I Only Have Eyes For You.

I don't know if we're in a garden,

or on a crowded avenue.

You are here

So am I

Maybe millions of people go by,

but they all disappear from view.

And I Only Have Eyes For You.

~ sung by Paul Simon and the Flamingoes - schoo bop sha bop
