Keep snapping Divas!!!
***************************

Hi! I wanted to participate in the Tablescape Tuesday that is hosted by our Susan at http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/.
I have some very sad news to tell. Susan and her family had to put their dog Jake to sleep last week. He was twelve years old and her heart was just broken. Please drop into her blog and leave her a note, I know she would appreciate it. Let's keep her and her family in our prayers. Those of us who have animal children know how deep our love grows through the years for our little fuzzy faces.
Since last Tuesday was Susan's first time to host her Tablescape Tuesday, I wanted to go ahead and post about tablescaping again this week. If you would like to participate, just go and tell her and I'm sure she'll be back in no time and will be thrilled to see we love to do this. She is really gifted in decorating the table and I want to support her in her efforts. I, in no way can work the magic like she!!
Okay, I will start...
Hope you'll join me in Tablescape Tuesday each week. I'm hoping Susan will feel better soon and will show you what she can do to turn a table into a masterpiece!
If you'd like to participate, go to her blog and tell her, take the logo (I made this for her - I'm so creative ;) and put it on your blog with a link to hers and then post your tablescape on your blog next Tuesday or even today!!
Dinner always taste better on a properly set beautiful table!!
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Bread and Butter
I like bread and butter,
I like toast and jam,
That's what my baby feeds me,
I'm her loving man.
He likes bread and butter,
He likes toast and jam,
That's what his baby feeds him,
He's her loving man.
She don't cook mashed potatoes,
She don't cook T-bone steaks,
Don't feed me peanut butter,
She knows that I can't take.
He likes bread and butter,
He likes toast and jam,
That's what his baby feeds him,
He's her loving man.
Got home early one morning,
Much to my surprise,
She was eating chicken and dumplings
With some other guy.
No more bread and butter,
No more toast and jam,
I found my baby eating
With some other man.

Hi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteYou got a great deal on the dishes! Love your tablescape.

Ooh girl, your table looks so pretty in blue and yellow! Yep, very summertime-ish! I think those blue thingies are votive holders and they're so pretty!

Now, who wouldn't love to sit at this table? It's heaven on earth--or on table.
ReplyDeleteI want to get some of those little fake votives! I have seen them before, and I think they're darling!
And, the dishes--what a bargain! But, Shelia, WHERE do you keep all of your dishes? Does Mr. Precious rent you a warehouse?
The combo of blue and yellow will always be one of my favorites. My blue and yellow guest room just makes me smile. I love your tablescape...tooooo pretty! I especially love the little bird salt & pepper shakers. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYou do have such a lovely way of putting a table together. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteYou do the GREATEST tablescapes....just BEAUTIFUL..oh, and I too have those little birdy salt and pepper shakers...love them!
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia,
ReplyDeleteI just read all the kind words you wrote...you are sweetheart. I am still hurting...it will take a long time, I'm afraid. But I am back posting, partly to keep my mind from wondering to sadder thoughts. I LOVE your table setting and what a deal on those dishes! Your table is so elegant and so french...beautiful! A lot of the folks who I thought were going to participate, don't seem to be...maybe they forgot...not sure. I will continue to do Tablescape Tuesday on my blog for quite a while....still have lots more tablescapes to share. I sure love seeing yours! The blue and yellow is so pretty and I love the flowers from "your" garden. ;)Love to you, Susan
I feel as though I have arrived now! woohoo thanks you dear!! French;)
ReplyDeleteOh Shelia what a beautiful table! I love the yellow and blue. So pretty and so French. Those little bird salt and pepper shakers are just adorable. I love seeing birds incorportated as part of a table setting. You have out did your self again :>)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you had a blog. I always liked your rooms on RMS...
ReplyDeleteMaria
I truly appreciate being able to see the tablecloth, and it is a beauty. The white dishes set it off beautifully. I don't consider the dishes "rather plain", I think they are elegant. The "Blue Line" is just the right amount.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue dishes!!!! Love how you arranged everything.
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious you too have a knack for tablescaping! It's just lovely!
Oh maybe one day.............
Congratulations to Lisa on becoming a BR Diva!!

Your table is beautiful and wow, what a precious gift you received with the needlework. Hope you are having a good week.
ReplyDeleteYour tablescapes are lovely. My "everyday" dishes are plain white. I picked them out when we got married, and I still love them. They are so versatile.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday Shelia; I love your table settings. My what lovely fabric I absolutely adore. How lucky you are to have them They look brand new. Your dishes are so pretty too. I need to get some more, I just have one set, haha white so some color is due. Love the song too. I get lazy sometimes when I set the table and I should not be that way. I love a table set pretty with lite candles adn soft music. Thanks for showing me the way.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Hugs;
Alaura
Hi Sheila, Your tablescape is some kind of snazzy! I love your linens! ...and the little bird S&P shakers are precious! I thought the flowers were real! :)_
ReplyDelete...and you ought to try making a tassle. They are so much fun and I know you could do it! "You're clever like that!" ;) ~hugs, Rhonda
Lovin' the french blue & yellow!
ReplyDeleteI know some of your dishes might seem plain to some people, but chefs prefer to serve food on plain white or cream plates because seeing food on a busy pattern can actually effect our taste and perception of food! And think of everything you can do w/ white dishes and then different accessories. It's cheaper, too!
Maybe I'll have time to participate in the future.
Beautiful table setting.
ReplyDeleteLove the bathroom shots.I, too, have my bathroom beauty shots and I brought friends. :)
Sheila, your table is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite songs - I always think of you when I sing it :) I love all the decorating. Can you PLEASE come & see me now so you can decorate me house?
ReplyDeleteTa Luv!
What beautiful tablescapes! I love the blue and and all of your pretty accessories. I really do like that blue linen dishes set!
