It's Time, Dear Ones, I'm Saying Goodbye to Blogland

Hello, Dear Ones. It is with a sad heart that I come to you today to say I am no longer going to post on my blog. I have tried a few times in the past to stop blogging, but I just couldn't but today I feel it is the right thing for me to do.

I have been blogging since the summer of 2008!! I can hardly believe it! It has been such a wonderful experience. I have met so many wonderful folks whom I'll probably never meet face to face but we are joined by our hearts and you are my friends.
I have so enjoyed sharing my life with you and you with me. We've been together through hurricanes, deaths of loved ones, pets, moves and the birth of grandchildren.
Some of my favorite recipes have come from you and I have written your sweet names on my recipe cards. I have learned so much from you through sewing, crafting and decorating.
But most of all, I have felt your heart. We have rejoiced together and cried together. You will always be in my heart and we will still run into each other on Facebook if you check that out from time to time.
So I will leave you and Blogland with my love and a tiny tear in my eye. I'll go ahead and leave my blog up. Who knows what Blogger does with the poor little left alone blogs. Hopefully you'll come back and visit from time to time. You have meant so much to me and this journey has been a wonderful one.

You will always be my sweeties,

Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Friends

Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
I can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter of your life is through

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

And with the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you live in
Is the strength that now you show

We'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

To live as friends

Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

No a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends
~ sung by Michael W. Smith and Me

  16. I, too, am sorry you are leaving and you will indeed be missed -- by me, and all the others you see here. I will see you on FB, of course but I will miss your lovely posts and all you share. I hope you do absolutely marvelous things with your extra time and I hope your choice is to be able to enjoy that and not for unhappy reasons.

  20. I shall miss you here, my dear friend, but I can find you on FB. And, if perchance, my sweetheart and I should ever head your way, I can let you know. We can still meet for real here - or, we will keep that date we planned so long ago when we're both in Heaven above. Sitting by the River, sipping a cup of tea and sharing as long as we want.

  22. I'm sorry you are leaving your blog. I always enjoy them even though I don't comment as much as I used too. I wish you would do a you tube channel now! How fun would that be. I love watching you tube decorating videos. I love seeing what you have done in all your past houses as well as the one you live in now. I will enjoy going back and looking at them.

  23. Awl, I am so sad you aren't going to blog anymore. I haven't been a good blogger or a good reader/ commenter - but you are one of my oldest and favorite blogger buddies.

Your kindness and sweetness and the way you "poke" things here and there- and your piano and music lyrics will be missed forever.

I wish the very best that life has to offer, Shelia. Keep a song in your heart, and stay well, dear lady. God bless you and your family. Please come by every so often and say hello. I don't have FB so can't connect that way. I will truly miss you.

    Take care. Big hugs. ♥

  24. Dearest Sheila, I think when you know, you just know! I have enjoyed your blogs over the years and though I only blog once a week I don't get to keep up with things as much as I would like you, you were one of the first bloggers that i actually pinned something from and that was your Baker's Rack. It still have people pinning from my pin that was yours. You will be missed and we may not meet on this side of heaven but I plan to see you next to my mansion! Love and prayers to you lady. Cindy
