Playing On The Baker's Rack

Hello, Dear Ones! I pray you're all doing well. I'm sorry if I haven't answered your comments on my previous post but we've been on a trip and I just didn't. I'll do my best to get back to you as I really appreciate it that you would read my blog and comment.

Okie dokie...I thought I would show you my little baker's rack in my breakfast room.
This baker's rack is just one of my favorite toys! So much fun to play on.
I love my Jadeite - antique, kinda new and Pioneer Woman new! I don't care as I love all Jadeite!
The cake stand and large salt and pepper are from the Pioneer Woman's collection. They are really beautiful, don't you think? The little salt and pepper under the cake stand glass are kinda olden. You know how I love my yard birds so that little cutie there made it's way on this shelf.
Just because I think this little yard bird is so darling - here's a close up! The tiny little metal chick on a nest is actually a salt cellar that my little mother gave me many many years ago.

More Pioneer Woman Jadeite pieces. Aren't they so pretty? The butter dish, sugar bowl and creamer. The plates behind are also Pioneer Woman. I think she must have heard how much I love Jadeite and decided to make some beautiful affordable pieces just for me!
See? Aren't these plates lovely with their scalloped edges? Dinner and salad or dessert plates.
The mug belonged to my daddy and he drank from that when I was a little girl. The dainty tea cup is one I found in an antique place years ago. The canister is  on the newer side but it's at least 20 years old. Then more Pioneer Woman bowls. The little chick on a nest was found at Cracker Barrel a few years ago.
Measuring cups and a small pitcher. A Rooster and a plump little chick sitting high upon my olden scale.
Now this side of the shelf has some olden bowls. That biggest bowl has a little indention on the bottom like it could fit as a mixing bowl for a mixer. These olden bowls are very thick and heavy. The butter dish is older too.
My Rooster and chickens all wanted a close up and I obeyed so here they are!

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my Jadeite today. Do you have certain pieces of furniture you love to play with?

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Green Green

Green, green,
It's green they say,
On the far side of the hill.
Green, green,
I'm going away to where
The grass is greener still.

A-well, I told my mama
On the day I was born,
Don't you cry
When you see I'm gone.

You know there ain't no woman
Gonna settle me down.
I just gotta be traveling on,
A-singing...

Nah, there ain't nobody
In this whole wide world
Gonna tell me how to spend my time.
I'm just a good loving rambling man,
Say, buddy, can you spare me a dime?
Hear me crying, it's a...

Yeah, I don't care
When the sun goes down,
Where I lay my weary head.
Green, green valley or rocky road,
It's there I'm gonna make my bed.
Easy, now.
Everybody, I wanna hear it now...

An Answer To Our Country's Problem

Hello, Dear Ones! Like me, I know you are all distressed with what's going on in our country. I don't like to get political here on my blog - I love to bring happiness when I can. But, I just feel at this time I must say something.
I have recently finished this beautiful cross stitch called "His Name is Jesus" and it's a free pattern from Joyful Expressions.

It is filled with the many names of Jesus! I enjoyed every stitch of it. I chose for my colors - red, dark blue, a lighter blue and gold.
I'm a member of lots of Facebook cross stitch groups and someone suggested all of the cross stitch pieces we do during this pandemic we add a cross. So I stitched my initials, the year and a little cross.
Now back to the point of this post. Folks, we have left God, Jesus, out of our country in so many areas. Slowly but surely He's being erased. So sad that this has happened as He is the answer. He is the answer to all of our problems. His Word, the Bible, shows us how to live our lives. I am a Christian and do not apologize for that. I don't want to preach, well, maybe a little, but Jesus does love us and I know He is in control. We can trust Him and do our best to let Him guide us and give us wisdom during these troubled times. We need to treat each other with patience and love. I'm certainly not perfect and I know I make lots of mistakes but my prayer daily is for God to create in me a clean heart.

Thank you all for being my blog friends and I am saying a prayer for each and every one of you right now.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

There's Something About That Name

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; there's just something about that name
Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain;
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all Heaven and earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms will all pass away
But there's something about that name
Kings and kingdoms will all pass away
But there's something about that name
