Bunny Time

Hello, Dear Ones! Again, I hope you all are staying safe and things are looking a little better now in our country but Mr. Precious and I are still staying home and being very cautious.

I thought I would share with you my half wall again. I still have out my bunnies and I think they'll stay out until summer. They are just so cute.

This is the center and largest part of my half wall. Light and bright and bunnies!
I think I've shown you my floral I put together a month or so ago but I really like it and it is going to sit here through the summer months.
On either side of the floral are my blue and white candle sticks and bunnies!

This vignette is on the right side. My blue and white pieces with bunnies. I found that little trio right before our shut down stay at home began. So cute they are!
More of my blue and whites and another little trio that was bought at the same time as the other trio. These little boogers will stay with me a long while. Oh, I did get that blue and white pitcher shortly before our shut down stay at home time.
No bunnies here but a couple of bandit looking folks! Mr. Precious and I are all masked up thanks to a sweet friend who made out masks for us.

Stay safe my sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Song of the Bandit

Long long ago in old Wyoming lived a maid
Fair as the sweetest flower bloomin' in the shade
She loved a bandit bold who roamed the prairie o'er
And every night she'd listen for his call
Then far the west his voice came ringing ridin' wild horse he came singing
Hee li oli yip ioli ay
Hee li oli yip ioli yip ay oli ya he brings a token of his love
Swift as the wind he goes for high as the hills he knows she's waiting
For his hee li oli yip ioli ay

One day he rode away but never to return
Danger was waitin' now his love must never yearn
Long days and lonely nights she waited all in vain
Till winter passed and summer came again
Still every night when the moon came shining for his song her heart was pining
Hee li oli yip ioli ay
Hee li oli yip ioli...

One night an angel brought a message from her love
Told her he waited in the starry sky above
Softly she closed her eyes and bade the angel go
And then the whole world echoed to his song
For straight down a moonbeam he came ridin' out of the sky on a winged horse glidin'
Hee li oli yip ioli ay
Hee li oli yip ioli...
Hee li oli yip ioli ay
hee li oli yip ioli ay singin'
hee li oli yip ioli ay

Springing Up The Living Room

Hello, Dear Ones! I pray you are all continuing to stay safe during this crisis time going on in our world. Would you have ever thought something like this would happen to us? I'm seeing on TV now that some states are going to slowly ease up on the restrictions. I'm praying for the best for us all.

Okie dokie...enough of that...on with the decorating! Don't you love Spring? It's pretty nice here in The Woodlands and our air conditioning is running fine. I'm sharing with you today my living room all Springed up!
I guess you can see this is my living room! :D Basically always the same just changing out the pretties.
Here's the mantel. I realized after taking this snap, I need a wreath hanging on the mirror. But y'all, it's a thousand feet high up on the wall and with the largest ladder we have it's a stretch for me. I should get Mr. Precious to hang one up for me. Oh, well, another day.
Everything here is what I've had for many years. Well, all but that cute little bunny I found at Marshall's, I think, before we had to stay inside.
My 'go to' topiaries, candlesticks, birdcage and garlands - all oldies. But the little rabbit makes her appearance and I love her.
Here is the little vignette on the coffee table. I think this has been the same since after Christmas. I just changed out my Staffies to Mr. Bunny. Works for me.
Here's various table tops and my piano all Springed up.
The one shelved side of the fireplace where I like to keep some of my milk glass. I've added a lone bunny. He does think he's special so this works for him.
One more peep at the living room. If you look carefully you'll see a little orange tennis ball. Willow always try to add a little something to the decor, if you know what I mean!

Happy Spring, Dear Ones, and stay strong and safe and we will get through this time in our lives and we'll be out bumping elbows and shopping again.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song~

Here Comes The Sun

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
It's all right,
It's all right

Flower Power

Hello, my Dear Ones! I continue to pray you are all staying safe during this crisis time for us. Our county is on a Stay At Home Order and that is exactly what Mr. Precious and I are doing. I'm cooking. A LOT! Baking. And...we are eating it all! We are calling in our order for groceries and then picking them up 'curbside'. That is really working well for us. God bless all our little grocery store workers. God bless all of our medical workers, police, essential workers for all they do.

We have had two dear friends pass away last week, not from the corona virus. But how very sad... there could be no funerals for them. No final goodbye with family and friends. No celebration of life. Just a graveside service for a handful of family members. My heart just goes out to all with loss especially at this time. Another elderly friend had a stroke and her husband could not even go with her to the hospital. Dear Ones, please stay at home. We are only protecting ourselves but we could be protecting others.

Okay, that's enough so on to the pretty!!

I'm bringing you into the dining room today to see the Eastery Springness on my buffet. I kept some of the same elements as before and added a few Easter things.
The focal point of this vignette is the flower power!! I took the lid off my tureen, which was already here, and poked and poked and poked in Springy flowers. A little faux egg found it's way into the ladle. Birdy salt and peppers sit by patiently waiting for something. Do any of you old time bloggers remember when we all rushed out to Target and bought this little set of salt and peppers and had a party all posting the adventures of our birdy salt and peppers? That was a really long time ago. Y'all, I've been blogging for 12 years! I can't believe it.
The flower power is so pretty, don't you think?
Had to poke down some little bunny things that I have had for such a long time. The vase is Lenox and matches my dishes 'Butterfly Meadow'.
Just a little bit of Eastery Springness.
Just enough cuteness and flower power to make me smile.

You're all my bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

The Rain, The Park and Other Things

I saw her sitting in the rain
Raindrops falling on her
She didn't seem to care
She sat there and smiled at me

Then I knew
She could make me happy
Flowers in her hair
Flowers everywhere

I love the flower girl
Oh, I don't know just why, she simply caught my eye
I love the flower girl
She seemed so sweet and kind, she crept into my mind

To my mind

I knew I had to say hello
She smiled up at me
And she took my hand
And we walked through the park alone

And I knew
She had made me happy
Flowers in her hair
Flowers everywhere

I love the flower girl
Oh, I don't know just why, she simply caught my eye
I love the flower girl
She seemed so sweet and kind, she crept into my mind

To my mind

Suddenly, the sun broke through
I turned around, she was gone
All I had left
Was one little flower in my hand

But I knew
She had made me happy
Flowers in her hair
Flowers everywhere

I love the flower girl
Was she reality or just a dream to me?
I love the flower girl
Her love showed me the way to find a sunny day

Sunny day

I love the flower girl
Was she reality or just a dream to me?
I love the flower girl

These Stones Were Made For Walkin'

Hello, Dear Ones, again I pray you are all being safe and sound and doing what you can to protect yourself and others from this vicious virus.

Since we're pretty much homebound, we have been trying to work in the yard as much as we can.
In my last post I showed you my little front porch and above is the tiny little flower bed where I've planted some little flowers. There are three knockout rose bushes behind the flowers. When we moved here there was a place for a walkway behind my plantings from the driveway to the sidewalk here by the front door. Only problems - just rocks - too slippery and wobbly to walk on.

We asked our lawn guy if he could lay some stepping stones and make me a walk. Sure can!, he said. Great! And he did! He brought 12 of these massive stones which are 4 inches deep, y'all, and laid them out perfectly and then brought in some rocks that matched the rocks we had. He and his crew had it all done in about 30 minutes! I am so very pleased and now I can take my tiny little feet and walk over to the driveway with no problem. The snap above is when you walk out the front door and step down on the sidewalk and you can turn left and walk over to the driveway the way it should have been done originally! Yea!
Now here we are looking from the driveway to the front walk where the stepping stones lead! Perfect! Now he had to really clip back the Azalea bushes, which are only pretty when they are blooming. I really would like some other shrub planted here and planted closer to the house. Whoever planted those bushes planted them over two feet from the house. They just stick out! In time I tell myself.

Well, just a little short post to say hi and encourage you to get outside a bit and hopefully wherever you live - you have some sunshine today.

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I Can't Smile Without You

You know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you

You came along just like a song
And brighten my day
Who would have believed that you were part of a dream
Now it all seems light years away
And now you know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile
Now some people say
Happiness takes so very long to find
Well, I'm finding it hard
Leaving your love behind me
And you see I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel glad when you're glad
I feel sad when you're sad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you
