Is Anybody Out There??

Hello, Dear Ones!! How long has it been? Well, a while for sure.

First of all I want to say my previous post was an oopsie! I had saved our Easter snaps from three years ago as a post on my blog, I guess so I wouldn't loose them, and dated them for three years thinking I would get back and delete them. Well, since I have not been paying much attention to my blog lately - they popped up! I was so embarrassed! You all probably thought I was a little crazy.

So now I'll catch you up on what's been going on around here. I'm behind. Well, we finally got some warm temps. In two weeks we went from in the 30s to the 80s! I'm not complaining.

We celebrated Easter with our family at church and then at a club we belong too. We had a fabulous brunch and the kiddies had fun too. Oh, shucks! I'm wearing the same jacket I had on three years ago. Hey, I'm old and that's what you do! :)

Here we are all spiffed up.

Mr. Precious and me and our grandchildren being their silly little selves.

Then in March, I know I'm behind, my little Carter turned eight years old and had a Harry Potter birthday party. Here's all of the little guests wearing their glasses.

I made Carter a circle skirt and appliqued a magic wand on it with lots of magic flowing all over the place. She loved it. I think she should have pulled the waist up a bit in this snap! :)
I couldn't leave out little Campie. I made him a cape so he would feel all magical too.

My how my little love is growing. I can't believe she's eight already. Look at her hair - her mom braided it the night before and took down the braids the next morning and this was the result. I love it.
Then I got on the floor and rolled all around and painted my kitchen island this pretty blue color called Atmospheric from Sherwin Williams. I really love how it turned out. I even pulled the old yucky toe kick off (I guess that's what you call it) and glued down a new one. I was so impressed with my self and it really looks good and clean.

My needle and thread are never very far from me these days so I'll show you what I've stitched...

Another free pattern from Pinterest and all it says is "Balade Irlandaise" but I simply love it

I continue to stitch the Prairie Schooler months. Each one is just darling.

Tis a bit blurry...oops. This is another favorite of mine. Grand Olde Flag from With Thy Needle and Thread.  Almost always I take lots of liberty with my color choices .

Lastly, this little cutie from Little House Needleworks called Old Glory.

If you've stayed with me this long - I thank you. I wanted to say how I appreciate you all and a special thanks to those of you who have reached out to me in emails and such. I know I have really slowed down in my posting but I still can't give up blogging. Bear with me and I'll still be around...hopefully sooner than later.

Remember...you're all my bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

In My Life

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

In my life I love you more

  17. Hello stranger! I no longer blog, and I don't read too many either any more, but it is always a treat to see you pop up in my email! I cannot believe how big your adorable grandchildren are getting! I had to laugh at your comment about the jacket (looks good!) because I have been switching out the cold weather/hot weather clothes this week. I filled another bag, and I swear, some of that stuff must be 20 years old! I don't know why I cannot bring myself to part with certain things, although I have not worn them for years. I suppose it might be the memory associated with it?
I am so impressed with your stitching! I used to do a lot of it, but now I read, mostly, in my down time. It's good to see that you are so happy!
