Hello, Dear Ones! Yes, I'm still here and thank you for popping in to see me. I've gotten so lax and lazy about blogging. My blogging days seem to be really slowing down but I just can't completely quit. So I hope you'll pop in occasionally and say hello.
Well, hope you're all doing well. We have had so much snow but it has really warmed up the last couple of days and rained so almost all of our snow has melted. There are certain areas around here that are in fear of flooding as the ice melts on the rivers! We're safe from that.
Since winter stays around here for quite some time, I needed some little wintry pieces to show. I apologize if you follow me on Facebook as you've probably already seen these.
Nothing like a little snowy alphabet. This was a free pattern. Don't you just love free? I know I do.

Another cute little wintry design by Tra La La. Their patterns are just so cute and if you know me you know I love cute.
Here's the finish on my bird bowl and a little February small. I did the little February in one evening.
This is where all of my little wintry stitching ended up - in the den on
the drop leaf table by my Regulator clock. I brought my Rooster lamp
into the den for a change. I seem to have lost my decorating Mojo and
things just stay the same way too long. I've really been lazy - all of these
snaps were taken with my phone! That's pretty lazy when I can't even take out my camera to snap with!
You know how I love my Roosters and I saw this yardbird on Pinterest and went to town trying to stitch it. I just loved all of the colors that were used.I just couldn't wait for Spring and had to stitch just one little small. Isn't this sweet?
Here's another free pattern from Pinterest. I hung this on my old coat rack by the front door.
Lastly, I want to show you this little darling piece. There was a tiny piece of a fence and bird that was supposed to be in the left hand corner but hey - I do my own thing.
Well, that's all for now. We have some company coming in the next few days so it's time to clean the toilets! :)
Be a bunch of sweties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
I'm Still Standing
You could never know what it's like
Your blood like winter freezes just like ice
And there's a cold lonely light that shines from you
You'll wind up like the wreck you hide behind that mask you use
And did you think this fool could never win
Well, look at me, I'm a-coming back again
I got a taste of love in a simple way
And if you need to know while I'm still standing you just fade away
Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
And I'm still standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
I'm still standing. Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm still standing. Yeah, yeah, yeah
Once I never could hope to win
You're starting down the road leaving me again
The threats you made were meant to cut me down
And if our love was just a circus you'd be a clown by now
You know I'm still standing better than I ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
I'm still standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
I'm still standing. Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm still standing. Yeah, yeah, yeah
Don't you know that I'm still standing better than I ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid

ReplyDeleteWhat sweet cross stich pieces!! Nice to see your blog pop up.
ReplyDeleteYou have many wonderful cross stitch pieces and you finish them off so well. Your hands must be staying very busy!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see a post from you this morning. I love love all your pieces. You are such a talented lady! I wish I had half your talent :-) I tried cross stitching years ago. Couldn't seem to get the tension right and it never looked right. Our winters are so long here I would dearly love to find a new hobby. I've been thinking maybe I'd have better luck learning to knit!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, glad to hear that all is well with you.
Take care
Jeannette
That's so sweet of you to say! I hadn't cross stitched in about 25 years because my close up vision got so bad. Well, I use cheater glasses all of the time and thought - I can still cross stitch - so there I went. I'm on a tear right now and just can't stop! :) Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
DeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I see you often on FB but always good to see a post on your blog. Your talented little fingers are doing some lovely stitching! I've lost my mojo for blogging (but still trying) and decorating also. Just surviving seems to take all my energy, oh and those Grands of mine! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having fun with your cross stitching. Cute stitching there Sheila. Glad to see you post today friend. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

ReplyDeleteCute projects, love the February and your own pattern. Enjoy each wonderful day:). Kathleen in Az
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kathleen! Don't think I'm too wonderful as I'm looking at a picture when I don't have a pattern. Didn't want you to think I had made it up in my head! I'm not that talented! :)
ReplyDeleteHello dear Shelia! These are just beyond darling and you have done a fabulous job on them all. Love the way you have mounted and displayed them in the lovely vignettes too. Are your little fingers sore yet?? :D
ReplyDeleteYou do such beautiful work. To be able to look at a pattern and make this is a talent.
ReplyDeleteSo good that we have a special art to keep us busy, mine is making quilt tops not quilting them as my old arms just can't hold out for that anymore. I get my best ideas at night when I should be sleeping.
So glad to see your post. You have been busy and your cross stitches look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad I get get into the mood of posting either.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Mary
Hi sweet lady !!
ReplyDeleteI also do a lot of cross stitches now.. You did a great job on them and putting them on your wall.. I hope you have a wonderful weekend... Texas is missing you..
It seems I'm always catching up and here I am again - catching up! Your stitchery pieces are exquisitely done. I love what you have done and how you use them in your home. It's good to see you here when I stop by to catch up. You might enjoy stopping by to see our new cabin-on-wheels. I just shared the basic sneak peek from the manufactuer's photos but I'm working on making it the cutest cabin for us to move around the country and feel right at home.
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
