Hi, y'all!

Hello, Dear Ones! Well I'm back after a little break. BREAK!!?? What? We were keeping the grandbabies for nine days while mommy and daddy took a trip. It was a break from blogging but not from life. :)
Before the babies came, Mr. Precious and I went to the Great Sacandaga Lake with Kiki and spent the night because our church was having a picnic and were going to baptize in the lake! You can see little Willow has become a great camping puppy. Okay, we are there! Sacandaga Lake is most beautiful and serene. The weather was cool and cloudy with a few sprinkles.
Y'all we were so blessed to have over 20 folks accept Jesus and were baptized! I couldn't get them all in my snap. I prayed God would warm up the water for them because it was a little cool.
Then our local Jewish Temple was having a Carrot Festival. Well we're there too! The best carrot cake I've ever tasted among other things going on. Crafts, music, animals.
School started for Carter. I can't believe how she's growing up.

Little Campie started his kindergarten too. He got a too short for me haircut and it makes him look too much like a little boy. Where's my baby?
Then...my daughter and son in law left for their trip. Did I tell you it was nine days?? Whew. Well, we did have some fun.
I love this snap of my babies as they are watching intently for this...
A bouncy house! We rented this for Campie's 4th birthday. His mom and dad would be gone on his birthday so we wanted to do something special. We invited his and Carter's best friends and the neighborhood kids and we had a great time. Now I didn't bounce, as much as I wanted to. Since I broke my knee I'm most cautious these days.
Let the fun begin! The kids had so much fun and as you can see so did Mr. Precious!

Tomato pie (never heard of this till we moved to upstate), juice boxes and cupcakes do make a birthday party. Look at those little flushed faces.
We enjoyed our babies but man, I AM EXHAUSTED!! The kids are up at 5 am! That means I am too and then breakfast, arguments to watch TV, get ready for school, drive to school, come home and pick up, wash clothes, go pick up from school, homework, cook dinner, more wanting to watch TV, no news of the world for Mr. Precious and me (we give in to the babies), then baths, read stories (please...just one more story! I'm such a good story teller. I even make up stories! :) ), then I need some water, I need to go to the bathroom, I'm not sleepy, I'm scared, can I sleep with you? Lord, have mercy.
We did survive but I'm spent. Went to church Sunday as mommy and daddy had picked up the kiddies Saturday, came home, made a sandwich and sat down in my chair and didn't move the rest of the day!

Campie got to celebrate his birthday over two weeks. Since his mommy was gone on his birthday, she made Ghostbuster cupcakes for his little class so they could celebrate his birthday. He is all over Ghostbuster, being too young to see the movies, but he knows the song and has seen the kid paradies of it and he is running around busting ghosts all day long. I think I'm his favorite ghost to bust because I can die so good!! :)
Finally some time for myself to get back to my minis! I was raring to make a little sofa for my 1:16 scale dollhouse and I did! She ain't perfect but she's cute!!
It's almost twice as small as the others I've made. Now to make chairs! Minis, here I come!!

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

They're Coming to Take Me Away

Remember when you ran away and
I got on my knees and begged you
Not to leave because I'd go berserk? Well,
You left me anyhow and then the
Days got worse and worse and now you
See I've gone completely out of my mind. And,

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, he he, ha ha,
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young
Men in their clean white coats and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke and so you
Laughed, you laughed! When I had said that
Losing you would make me flip my lid - right?
You know you laughed, I heard you laugh,
You laughed, you laughed and laughed, and then you
Left, but now you know I'm utterly mad. And,

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, he he , ha ha,
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!

I cooked your food, I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds? Huh?
Well, you just wait--they'll find you yet
And when they do they'll put you in the
ASPCA you mangy mutt! And,

They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, he he, ha ha,
To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young
Men in their clean white coats and
They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!

To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!

To the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see those nice young
Men in their clean white coats and
They're coming to take me away!

  16. Enjoyed this post so much! Cant believe how those sweet babies have grown either! Gosh--our kids grew so fast and now the cycle is repeating isn't it? That b/day celebration looked like tons of fun, and I love the collage you made of it! Those big bouncy house things are very popular down here too. The kids sure love them. Isn't time with the grands so amazing?? I hear ya tho---it just WEARS A PERSON PLUM OUT--but it's the best kind of tired, isn't it? Love your new little couch, it's a cutie! Cant wait to see what all else you come up with for your sweet doll-houses!
