Some Happiness

Hello, Dear Ones! I wanted to report to you that my Mr. Precious is doing well. We went to church today and it was great to be surrounded by our church family. Thank you all again for your prayers and well wishes. He still is recuperating and resting. They inserted a Loop Recorder into his chest and so far, no hiccups. We will go to the endocrinologist tomorrow afternoon and hopefully get some meds for his hyperthyroidism. I know the meds won't work immediately but in time he'll feel much better. Oh, how I love you all and appreciate you.

Okay, now for a little fun stuff. Our little Carter will turn seven years old on March 15th, but she had her birthday party Saturday at a place called 'Flight', a fabulous trampoline jumping place. Now Mr. Precious was able to go so I could snap a few pictures and then we went home but Carter assured me this was the best birthday party ever.

Carter wanted a Shopkins theme for her party. Shopkins are tiny little plastic 'things' with cute little smiley faces and my grandchildren love them. My daughter made these darling cupcakes and if you look closely there is a little Shopkins in the center of each cupcake for each guest. This was a 'girl' party except for one little brother, Campie! :)
There was so much movement, a lot of the snaps are blurry. Here is Carter blowing out her Seven candle. I can't believe she's seven years old!
The party girls and my silly little Carter sticking her tongue out! For those of you may not know, Carter is a miracle! We've gone through a lot in the last year...Carter with her auto-immune disease and chemo treatments and me with my broken knee. Carter is healed and me too! Praise God!
Nothing like a line up of all the party goers with their Shopkins. Can you believe the different sizes of all these little girls who are all around the same age? Carter has on her Shopkins t-shirt and little Campie doesn't mind at all posing with the girls either.
Here's a peep inside the jumping area! It was amazing! No, I didn't jump. :)
Here's Carter about to blow me a kiss...
 ...then a blurry jump!
A blurry Campie on the move.
After a kiss and a hug, Carter was zooming off to join her friends.
Oh, I have to show you this...my 42 year old daughter jumping and turning a somersault! I can't believe she can still do this. She flipped four times for me! I did capture her perfectly upside down, didn't I? I will not tell you I almost wet my pants when she did this. No, I will not tell you that! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Jump

I get up, and nothin' gets me down
You got it tough, I've seen the toughest around
And I know, baby, just how you feel
You got to roll with the punches and get to what's real

Ah, can't you see me standin' here
I got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen
Ah, can't you see what I mean?

Ah, might as well jump
(Jump)
Might as well jump
Go ahead an' jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump
Ow oh, hey you
Who said that?
Baby, how you been?
You say you don't know
You won't know until you begin

So can't ya see me standing here
I got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen
Ah, can't you see what I mean?

Ah, might as well jump
(Jump)
Go ahead and jump
Might as well jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump
Jump
Might as well jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump
Get it in, jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump

Jump
Jump
Jump
Jump

  1. I'm so happy to hear everyone is doing well. I was wondering how Carter was doing but I didn't want to ask so I'm glad you mentioned it.

When my kids were little my son was always the only boy at his older sisters parties. Personally I think it helped him in his relationship with girls when he got older. :-)

  5. So happy to hear you got to church. We had a long prayer time today and I lifted you and George up! I know the power of prayer. I can't believe little Carter is now 7, but my Tiger will be 6 in April and Scout will be 2. Those Grands grow so fast and I'm so happy to live near them as you do yours. God is good!

  19. Oh, such good news -- I'm so glad he is doing well. I thought of you this week as we drove in New England. We returned home yesterday, coming up I-90, a day ahead of the blizzard and seeing all the warnings. Sunday we went to Stockbridge and I thought of you again. Maybe next time we're out east we will connect!

  22. So happy the hubster is up and around. Continued prayers for all of you. We have one of these jumping places near us, and I always think how much I would have loved it . . . years ago. Not now. Things would jiggle loose now.
