Hey There!

Hello, Dear Ones! Well I haven't posted in a while and I wanted to thank you for your comments, prayers and good wishes for my Mr. Precious. We have found out that he has thyroiditis which is an inflammation of his thyroid. It is caused by an upper viral thing which he had. We were so thrilled when the endocrinologist told us the thyroid will heal on its own in three to six months! Praise God! We do know he had some little strokes and possibly the messed up thyroid caused them, we just don't know. Anyway, I'm taking a small break for a bit as we are going to follow up visits to this doctor and that doctor. I have to admit I've been a 'helicopter' wife'. You've heard of helicopter parents who hover constantly over their children? Well, I've been doing that with Mr. Precious! He's just my life and I've had a hard time letting him leave my side. I'm trying and doing a little bit better! Shheesh!

So, I've been stitching - a lot! Trying to keep my dainty fingers busy as Mr. Precious recovers. Well, he's feels so much better and is getting bored. He's a runner and is even trying to do tiny little laps around the house! Pray for me that I can sit on him!! I'll be back in a little while and know I love you all. Life has to come first some times.

You're all my bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

I'll Be Seeing You

 I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day and through
In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children's carousel
The chestnut trees
The wishing well
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way

Some Happiness

Hello, Dear Ones! I wanted to report to you that my Mr. Precious is doing well. We went to church today and it was great to be surrounded by our church family. Thank you all again for your prayers and well wishes. He still is recuperating and resting. They inserted a Loop Recorder into his chest and so far, no hiccups. We will go to the endocrinologist tomorrow afternoon and hopefully get some meds for his hyperthyroidism. I know the meds won't work immediately but in time he'll feel much better. Oh, how I love you all and appreciate you.

Okay, now for a little fun stuff. Our little Carter will turn seven years old on March 15th, but she had her birthday party Saturday at a place called 'Flight', a fabulous trampoline jumping place. Now Mr. Precious was able to go so I could snap a few pictures and then we went home but Carter assured me this was the best birthday party ever.

Carter wanted a Shopkins theme for her party. Shopkins are tiny little plastic 'things' with cute little smiley faces and my grandchildren love them. My daughter made these darling cupcakes and if you look closely there is a little Shopkins in the center of each cupcake for each guest. This was a 'girl' party except for one little brother, Campie! :)
There was so much movement, a lot of the snaps are blurry. Here is Carter blowing out her Seven candle. I can't believe she's seven years old!
The party girls and my silly little Carter sticking her tongue out! For those of you may not know, Carter is a miracle! We've gone through a lot in the last year...Carter with her auto-immune disease and chemo treatments and me with my broken knee. Carter is healed and me too! Praise God!
Nothing like a line up of all the party goers with their Shopkins. Can you believe the different sizes of all these little girls who are all around the same age? Carter has on her Shopkins t-shirt and little Campie doesn't mind at all posing with the girls either.
Here's a peep inside the jumping area! It was amazing! No, I didn't jump. :)
Here's Carter about to blow me a kiss...
 ...then a blurry jump!
A blurry Campie on the move.
After a kiss and a hug, Carter was zooming off to join her friends.
Oh, I have to show you this...my 42 year old daughter jumping and turning a somersault! I can't believe she can still do this. She flipped four times for me! I did capture her perfectly upside down, didn't I? I will not tell you I almost wet my pants when she did this. No, I will not tell you that! :)

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Jump

I get up, and nothin' gets me down
You got it tough, I've seen the toughest around
And I know, baby, just how you feel
You got to roll with the punches and get to what's real

Ah, can't you see me standin' here
I got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen
Ah, can't you see what I mean?

Ah, might as well jump
(Jump)
Might as well jump
Go ahead an' jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump
Ow oh, hey you
Who said that?
Baby, how you been?
You say you don't know
You won't know until you begin

So can't ya see me standing here
I got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen
Ah, can't you see what I mean?

Ah, might as well jump
(Jump)
Go ahead and jump
Might as well jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump
Jump
Might as well jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump
Get it in, jump (jump)
Go ahead and jump

Jump
Jump
Jump
Jump

Prayers Please! UPDATE

Dear Ones, Mr. Precious wanted to send out a thank you for all your prayers on Facebook so I wanted to share it here too. He is doing so well and we thank you for your prayers.

From my husband, George:
I want to thank everyone for your prayers and well wishes. They were definitely heard and honored. My Jesus is so great! I had a stroke but the only effect was my vision was a little off. It's believed this all happened possibly from a hyper thyroid and I will see an endocrinologist on Monday for medication to treat it. I'm doing great and I'll be back running my five miles every other day very shortly. Again, I say thank you!

And I say - God bless you all and I send my love to you.

Dear Ones, I just wanted to put up a very quick post. If you follow me on Facebook you will know my husband has had some strokes. I took him to the ER Saturday morning after him being dizzy, seeing double and being a bit confused. To make a long story short they discovered he has had multiple little strokes in the area that affects your eye sight. There is nothing else - thank God He has has a myriad of tests and they have all come back with normal results showing no afib. He is in the neuro ICU area and they have been monitoring him constantly and still see no irregular heart rhythms. Just prior to all of this happening we found out he has hyperthyroidism and were waiting for an appointment to see an endocrinologist. He had another test this morning for his thyroid something with iodine. They told us it was possible that the hyper thyroid could have caused the heart to race and cause the stroke. They don't really know. So, they've inserted into his chest a Loop Recorder that will save and send data from his heartbeats to a cardiac place and if there is something irregular, they'll contact us and we'll go from there.

He is in good spirits and may get to come home this afternoon or tomorrow. We go Monday to see the endocrinologist and hopefully get him on some meds to get his thyroid back to normal.

I know I have so many prayer warriors out in Blogland and we would certainly appreciate your prayers. I know nothing is too big for our God.

Just know I love you all and appreciate you so much. Just forgive me for not visiting you for a while till things settle down.

You're all my sweeties,
Shelia ;)

Been Doin' A Little Quiltin'

Hello, Dear Ones. I found this post in waiting that I had forgotten about. Since I'm still a little under the weather I thought I would share it with you since I don't have anything else. This was before Tang moved into the dollhouse shelves with Lola. Just so you'll know!

Now don't let it ever be said that I'm a quilter. I am not! My little mother was and she really enjoyed it but it's just not what I liked doing. Well, my little homemade bed was kinda screaming out for a quilt. So since I'm loving making tiny little things I thought I'd try to make a quilt. If you're a true quilter, leave now or at least cover your most gorgeous eyes!
One of my blog friends makes beautiful miniature bed linens and quilts. She has a tutorial for making them and I followed her tute. Pop on over to see what all she makes. Her name is Debbie and she blogs at Ribbonwood Cottage. HERE is her tute for the quilt. Debbie said don't worry if your squares don't match perfectly! Good! Because mine don't! :)
The quilt is lined with the same fabric as the border. I also made a long pillow for the bed with this fabric. You know how we love pillows on our beds and mini beds are no different! :)
I am learning if I measure my bed linens and then iron the drop down section at the sides, it will drape like it should. If I hadn't have ironed the sides down, the sides would just stick out. I didn't like that look so I ironed it down! See how talented I am? :) Then to make the corners of the quilt at the bottom sides of the bed lay right I folded it the way it should hang and used a little dot of hot glue so the corners would stay in place. Works for me!
Peeping down from above because I am a giant and I can do this! I see Tang loves the pillows! She is a photo hog or should I say a photo cat?

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia :)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Dreams

While riding on a train goin' west
I fell asleep for to take my rest
I dreamed a dream that made me sad
Concerning myself and the first few friends I had
With half-damp eyes I stared to the room
Where my friends and I spent many an afternoon
Where we together weathered many a storm
Laughin' and singin' till the early hours of the morn
By the old wooden stove where our hats was hung
Our words were told, our songs were sung
Where we longed for nothin' and were quite satisfied
Jokin' and talkin' about the world outside
With hungry hearts through the heat and cold
We never thought we could ever get old
We thought we could sit forever in fun
But our chances really was a million to one
As easy it was to tell black from white
It was all that easy to tell wrong from right
And our choices they was few so the thought never hit
That the one road we traveled would ever shatter and split
How many a year has passed and gone?
Many a gamble has been lost and won
And many a road taken by many a first friend
And each one I've never seen again
I wish, I wish, I wish in vain
That we could sit simply in that room again
Ten thousand dollars at the drop of a hat
I'd give it all gladly if our lives could be like that
