Little Look Back at 2016

Happy New Year to you, Dear Ones! What a year it's been for me! Pull up a chair and grab you a Diet Dr. Pepper and I'll share with you what all has happened this past year.
 JANUARY
I fell and broke my knee but it actually happened on December 14, 2015, but somehow it carried over to 2016! You may know but I had surgery and hardware was installed and I had to wear that huge immobilizer! Any way, I'm so much better now. I'm not 100% but I'm praying I will be soon.
Since I had to be stationary for so long, I had a hard time sitting still so I continued making dolls clothes for the American Girls dolls I had gotten for Carter. Some were crocheted and when I was able to go up the stairs to my sewing room, I started sewing the clothes. Our little Carter was going through chemotherapy and high doses of meds as you all joined with us in prayer for God to heal her little body from the rare auto immune disease that attacked her!
FEBRUARY
Well, not a lot went on during the month of February. I continued with my physical therapy - at home and at a rehab place - and creeping along on my walker. But we did buy a new rung for the dining room floor!
MARCH
I graduated to a cane! Woo hoo! We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary in Stockbridge, Massachusetts at The Red Lion Inn.
APRIL
This month was a celebration for our little Carter's numbers the doctors were monitoring we down to normal! I found this dollhouse for Carter at a garage sale and I think I wanted one too! I also had another surgery to remove the hardware from my knee and back to physical therapy for me.
MAY
I was still laying low a bit as I continue to recover. I discovered the little motorized carts at grocery stores and it was such freedom for me! I was able to shop and ride to my heart's content! Mr. Precious took me to Albany to see the tulips! Gorgeous!
JUNE
Well, I really started to crave little miniature dollhouses and furniture. Since I seem to go on tangents, I didn't want to buy a dollhouse as they are a little pricey, so I got on Pinterest and saw a post about making one from foam board. Worked for me! I got so excited and even began to make my own furnishings.

JULY
We kept the grandbabies for a week as their mommy and daddy went on a long deserved vacation. It was such fun but Lord, have mercy, plumb wore me out! Then I joined Instagram!
AUGUST
During the month of August I did lots of cleaning around the house since I had been hindered for some time! :) I love Milk Glass and you know that if you visit me very often. I decided to give as much of my Milk Glass as I could center stage in the dining room for a while.
SEPTEMBER
Mr. Precious and I took a three week trip in Kiki and visited 20 states! What fun we had. I still don't have the posts up yet from that trip. I will, I'm olden now and I'm slow! We got back from our trip just in time to celebrate little Campie's thrid birthday.
OCTOBER
We celebrated Mr. Precious' sister and hubby's 50th wedding anniversary! She did it up good and it was so special not to mention beautiful!
NOVEMBER
I celebrated fall in my little mini house and fall in my big house. November is Mr. Precious' and my birthday so he planned a trip for us to go to New York City and we had a wonderful birthday celebration!
DECEMBER
I had recently started doing cross stitching again so I made a few little ornaments for a small tree and thought they turned out so cute. Of course I Christmased up my  house and Christmased up the little house!

That's my year and it's really been a year. We've had our share of ups and downs but lots of blessings sprinkled all over the top! I want you all to know how much I love and appreciate your visits and your comments to my little blog. I've been doing this for almost nine years now! Can you believe it? I've had lots of opportunities to advertise and make money for my blog but I don't want to do that. I just want my blog to hopefully be a little light and bring a little smile to your most gorgeous faces.

Happy New Year, my Dear Ones.
You're all my sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

Auld Lang Syne

 Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne
And there's a hand, my trusty friend
And gie's a hand to thine
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll take a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne
For auld lang syne
~ sung by us all
