This table is in front of the double window and the lamp is always on the table.
Now you'll see the two end tables on each side of the sofa.
I just have to share this with you. You're looking at my Bible from when I was a little girl. It's ragged and worn but I cannot part with it. On the front is a beautiful picture of Jesus with little children swarming all over him. Well, I was going through a stage when I was about 7 years old. I loved to draw and made sure everyone I drew had nice long eyelashes! So if you look closely, you can see I added some lush long eyelashes to Jesus and that little boy too! I was a hoot then too! :)
I'm almost finished with the living room getting all Falled up! I am truly enjoying seeing all of the fall touches in your homes.
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Magic Touch
You've got the magic touch
It makes me glow so much
It casts a spell, it rings a bell
The magic touch
It casts a spell, it rings a bell
The magic touch
Oh when I feel your charm
It's like a fourth alarm
You make me thrill so much
You've got the magic touch
It's like a fourth alarm
You make me thrill so much
You've got the magic touch
If I go reeling, uh-oh, I'm feeling the glow (Uh-oh)
But where can I go from you
But where can I go from you
I didn't know too much
And then I felt your touch
And now I've learned I can return
Magic touch
And then I felt your touch
And now I've learned I can return
Magic touch
If I go reeling, uh-oh, I'm feeling the glow (Uh-oh)
But where can I go from you
But where can I go from you
I didn't know too much
And then I felt your touch
And now I've learned I can return
The magic touch
And then I felt your touch
And now I've learned I can return
The magic touch
I love that precious Bible. I have the little white New Testament from when I was a girl. Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHi Shelia, You have such a pretty home. Your Autumn decor makes your home very welcoming and warm. Your Bible is precious and I'm glad that I am not the only one to write on books. I did not draw on my Bible, but on mother's Best Loved Poems book! I wish you a very wonderful weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteShelia, your end tables are so pretty and fallish. I love your little Bible and so cute that you added eyelashes. You must have been a hoot back then. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Sheila, you have so many beautiful things!
ReplyDeleteLook at you, girl! So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteFall is looking good at your house, Sheila. I LOVE that you gave Jesus and the boy some lush lashes. That's my girl! lol What a great old Bible though- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteYour childhood bible is a real treasure! I would keep it out all of the time -- it will be great for your grandkids to look at during Christmas time. Happy Fall. Sally
ReplyDeleteHold close to our childhood memories and I'm sure Jesus was smiling:). I'm "Falling" in love with your living room;).

Hi Kathleen! Thanks for the visit and have a lovely weekend.
DeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Ooh...I love all of your fall pretties! That tattered childhood Bible just beyond precious. I would have never parted with it either! Love it mixed in with all the fall decor! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteSeeing that Bible brings back so many nice memories. I did not have one, but my best friend in Sunday School had that same Bible. I can see the brand new cover in all it's bright colors. Her Jesus didn't have those long lush eyelashes though. *smile*
ReplyDeleteYour living room is so lovely with all the fall items in it. I see you are doing blue and white with your pumpkins in this room also. Love it.
How beautiful your autumn touches are, Shelia. It must be such a new and fun time to decorate this new(ish) home. And your bible...precious.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,
Janie

ReplyDeleteLove your Fall decor! That Bible and your story... precious.
ReplyDeleteI love you decor Shelia...simply cannot get enough pumpkins this year...darling as always!
ReplyDeleteYour autumn touches add bright spots to warm things up when skies are gray. Your bible is wonderfully worn and the eyelashes you added are too funny!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so nicely done including the eyelashes, you are a hoot. Love knowing that you had the foresight to save your bible. I don't have a thing from my childhood but there were seven other children under me lol,Is it a wonder.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Autumn décor, making such a welcoming place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI love your Bible. It is amazing. What a wonderful treasure. I love all your sweet pumpkins. Precious.
