Falling in the Breakfast Room

Hello, Dear Ones. Well, today we'll continue our tour of my breakfast room dressed up for Fall!
 I just love to change up my little hutch with the seasons.
 You have to dress the top of the hutch too! So up went a plant, a couple of yard birds and my little Fall blocks that I use every single year.
If you visit me much, you've already seen how I'd decorated the inside of my hutch. I've told you before ~ I cheat! So I cheated and just poked in a few little pun'kins and I was done! Talk about cheatin'! :) Oh, there is something new in there. Do you see the little red pie bird on the first shelf? While we were on our trip, somewhere, we went to an outlet mall and I went into a Le Creuset shop and found this darling little red pie bird! So there she sits.
My breakfast room window sill is so much fun to decorate for the seasons and I went to town making it gaudy!
 A Fallen wreath. Fallen leaves...
 Full of Fall and pretty gaudy. I love gaudy, don't you?
Pun'kins, gourds and I even see a tomato all sitting on a stash of cook books. I do think those little birds are about to tear into that pun'kin!
One of the only things I bought new this season was this basket! I knew immediately when I saw it what I would use it for. Don't you just love those moments?
 My new basket is all filled up with nature's bounty...only it's faux bounty! I love my fauxs and my fauxs love me.
There you have it...gaudy Fall on my window sill and in my hutch. I just love this time of year, don't you?

Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)

I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~

We Gather Together To Ask The Lord's Blessing

We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!
~ sung by all of us

  5. What a bright, cheerful and happy room. Oh, it makes me smile. Now, if only I could sit right at your breakfast table with a cup of tea and peace of coffee cake, I'd be the happiest person in the world!

  6. Shelia,
    I adore your hutch adorned for Autumn, dear friend!
    While on vacation, I looked for red transfer ware dishes,
    but none were to be found along our journeys.
    I think I want some "red" back in my Galley Style Kitchen and Dining Room!
    Your newest pie bird caught my eye, immediately!
    Cute places to add Seasonal decor in your new home!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  10. Your house is so cute and festive, Shelia! It's not gaudy at all - or at least not in any kind of negative way - it's fun, colorful and festive.

    Love your pie bird - always thought those were so cool.

    HUGS!!

  11. Love both your china hutch and your bay window. My mother liked to say you have to gussy things up! I don't think of your deco as gaudy! The little pie bird is cute- I've always been curious about actually using one but haven't. Love the basket- especially the way you decorated it!
