If you've been following along with me, you can see the little pink appliances I've made have all found their places in the kitchen.
You know you have to have some cabinets. So what did I do? Go back to A. C. Moore craft store and buy some more little boxes. I painted them white and added some foam board to the insides of them for shelves. Hey, this will work! I still don't know what to do with the lids and they are piling up! ;) Now you know how creative I am :) so I just got my hot glue gun out and glued those two top cabinets to the walls! You do what you have to do! ;) Oh, I think I've forgotten to tell you that these little boxes only cost $1 each! Yep, that's pretty neat huh? I may have cleaned that store out of these little boxes!
I needed a table and what did I do? I glued a round piece of wood to a decorative one and painted it white! Again, easy peasy and I think it's pretty cute. You can buy these little pieces of wood in packages and that's what I've done and they are certainly coming in handy.
If you have a table you must have chairs. Now I would love to tell you that I made these but I can't tell you a lie - I bought them at Hobby Lobby for $3.99 each, I think. Cute as a button and I painted them white. Now we can sit when we eat dinner.
I could have done a better job now that I look back at them. I should have cut the words and flowers out all together in a rectangle and then glued them on. But being the talented one that I am, I printed them out a little too large and had to adjust! Well, I adjusted and now it is what it is, but they'll do and when you're far away you don't really see my oopies! Well, I painted the spools white and the lid part pink. I painted clear nail polish on them so they would shine and added a pearly little bead on top for a knob! They're not perfect but they are cute. I'm beginning to learn minis don't have to be perfect as long as they're cute. And...the main thing, I'm having so much fun!
Be a bunch of sweeties,
Shelia ;)
I'll leave you with a little Note Song ~
Return To Pooh Corner
Christopher Robin and I walked along
Under branches lit up by the moon
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore
As our days disappeared all too soon
But I've wandered much further today than I should
And I can't seem to find my way back to the Wood
So help me if you can
I've got to get back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
You'd be surprised
There's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh
Winnie the Pooh doesn't know what to do
Got a honey jar stuck on his nose
He came to me asking help and advice
From here no one knows where he goes
So I sent him to ask of the Owl if he's there
How to loosen a jar from the nose of a bear
Help me if you can
I've got to get back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
You'd be surprised
There's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh
It's hard to explain how a few precious things
Seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all's said and done I was watching my son
Sleeping there with my bear by his side
So I tucked him in, I kissed him and as I was going
I swear that the old bear whispered "Boy welcome home"
Believe me if you can
I've finally come back
To the House at Pooh Corner by one
What do you know
There's so much to be done
Count all the bees in the hive
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin
Back to the ways of Christopher Robin
Back to the days of Pooh
